Gmod issues

So I started out with about 20gb of space left in my SSD and I don't want to move on to my HDD unless I really have to for new games. However, Gmod has rapidly started using loads of space when I download stuff. When I was joining perp it managed to use over 5gb of space after deleting some things in downloads but yet I joined the server very quickly?

My gmod is taking space 32.9gb and I have played only perpheads queue and the main server so yeah I guess it's normal that it takes a nice amount of space.

If you go to the 'downloads'or 'downloadslist' folder you will see a subfolder with a lot of compressed and gma (gmod addon files). These are files that accumulate after time. I deleted them and managed to free 300gb of space on my drive.
