Suggestion Title: Grand Larceny Law Addition
Suggestion Description: Grand Larceny as defined is : theft of personal property having a value above a legally specified amount.
Add a Grand Larceny charge for theft over a $10,000 value (Vehicles, guns, etc) with a harsher jail sentence than standard 11.6 Theft. (6 Years, $6000 suggested)
This would be realistic as currently if someone steals a vehicle, or a can of beans they can face the same jail time.
My suggestion would be to move Arson to 11.12, and replace 11.7 with "Grand Larceny"
Why should this be added?:
- Adds realism and balance to theft charges
- Makes it more of a risk to attempt to steal higher value items
What negatives could this have?:
- Issues with proving certain items are a certain value
What problem would this suggestion solve?: Higher level thefts not facing a proportionate amount of punishment
