I remember seeing shootouts that were started by a person gunpointing somebody, the victim having the ability to press one button then they are instantly behind cover, then the victim draws and comes back to open fire. The victim was never punished.

Can somebody clarify the difference between 3.4 in a situation where you're gunpointed and a valid method to breaking the line of sight of the gunpointer then popping back after drawing your gun. I am interested in learning how that works.
 
 
you cannot realistically go from the driver seat of your car to then exit out the passenger side door before getting shot while you're trying to crawl over
 
I am not here to dispute my ban I am here to finish my inquiry about the validity of taking cover when at gunpoint and how to properly execute it. But I appreciate the example-based answer either way.
