Description of the idea:
Adding a handheld “Stun gun” to PERP.
The handheld stun gun should be a secondary weapon or an equipment item.
The stun gun should function as such:
- Passive and active stance. Passive stance should have the player standing normally holding the item, attack stance should make players hold the stun gun like a knife.
- Holding left click activates the stun gun.
- Holding Right click extends the stun gun.
Functions:
The stun gun should disorient players visions similar to when they’re tased, rather than straight up ragdolling people, the stun gun should just heavily slow movement, stop them attacking, and do slight damage every moment they’re being zapped. Maybe prolonged, uninterrupted exposure should ragdoll people too.
Why should this be added? (pros):
- Useful RP item better than just killing people.
- Makes sense to give civilians something other than a gun or lethal weapon to defend themselves.
- ”misuse” is already punishable under existing rules.
What negatives could this have? (cons):
- Development time
