Headset Recommendations

Headset is on life support

My current headset is simply the Steel Series Nova 1

1) It is $50

2) Very comfortable. If I wear it all day, I have no problems with comfort. Namely, the band around the head is there and its adjustable so you dont end up with a tyler 1 gamer dent

3) The mic is decent and sounds nice after you tune it with Steel Series Sonar software.

4) Audio sounds good to me

5) On headset controls are nice

6) mic is retractable so if you don't want to ever use it you can.

7) does the thing (you can flop the ears sideways)

Here is a review:

With the remaining $50, If I was you, I'd buy a good mic to pair with it which is what my current setup is. The mic I'd recommend is the MAONO AU-A04 for $50 also.

personally I'm a fan of the Razer Blackshark V2

been using the standard V2 ever since my Logitech G935s died on me and i haven't gone back since, had them for a few years now with absolutely no issues.
people complain a lot about Razer Synapse but i've not had many issues with it myself, especially on the newer versions of synapse (had synapse for my old keyboards, big fan of the blackwidow series)

the link should bring you to amazon.ie (read on your profile that you're from ireland) and it'll show you the V2 X for 46 euro.
afaik the main difference between the V2 X and the regular V2 is the regular V2 has a 3.5mm jack that plugs into a USB sound card whereas the V2 X doesn't come with the sound card. if there's any other major difference i welcome a perpheads forum turbonerd to correct me and make me look like an idiot

i've never been a fan of the blackshark's microphone but as you said you have a separate mic so that's a non issue

i wanna add onto this actually

i found these style of earbuds to be fucking horrible not due to audio quality but more because they're ear infection central
when i was doing a lot of VR gaming however i wanted some sort of earbuds or clip on earphones and i stumbled across the Koss KSC75 which i found were great for VR gaming especially for the price. highly recommend them.
obviously the downside to these is that you get a lot of sound leakage so if you're someone that has little siblings or kids running around and you don't want them to hear people on perp yelling expletives at you they might not be the best.

before that i was using the MOXKING in ear headset and it was pretty decent, the main issue i had with them was over time the rubber cups would start to loosen and slip off of the earbuds. because of this i actually ended up losing one of them but replacing it wasn't an issue.

highly recommend the KSC75s though the audio quality's pretty good (though i'm not an audiophile so someone pickier than me might disagree) and i found them to be super comfortable, but some people find the over-ear style uncomfortable. personal preference ig

Revoltage or Lewitz HP8500, they sound decent, they are the same headphones as HyperX Cloud uses and as comfortable.
