HTC Vive or Oculus Rift?

My friend recently got VR in December and I had started doing research on VR headsets to buy my own. I have narrowed it down to 2 headsets, the Vive or the Rift, and I'm kind of stuck. Please post your recommendations in the comments. Thank you in advance.

Vive since oculus is buggy and bad for development, the HTC Vive is already leaps and bounds higher in quality due to the fact that the Oculus controllers are weak and dont hold up for very long, whereas my Vive controllers have lived through wall hit after wall hit after wall hit, therefore I can safely recommend the Vive.

Get a Vive, or wait a few millenia until steam releases knuckles controllers and get a bundle or whatnot.

if u have alot of space get the vive, if not get the rift. The rift is also much cheaper.

The HTC vive is better in my experience from the Oculus Rift. The tracking on the vive is much better.

In this case, it is truly a "you get what you paid for", as in the HTC Vive has a higher price, but also higher quality and offers a better experience. I personally bought the Oculus Rift as I wasn't prepared to pay 150% of its cost to buy the HTC Vive, but I regret it at this point, really.

Wait until Valve releases their own VR and Controller set, if it's good cop it. If you can't wait go for Vive if you have the money.
