Suggestion Title: Katana having the disarm function bats and hammers have.
Suggestion Description: Having the disarm ability present in Baseball bats and Hammers also apply to the katana, but with significantly less odds of successfully disarming the player than said weapons.
The katana is a large sword that is currently the most expensive melee weapon, yet the bat is a preferred weapon of choice due to its disarm ability, availability and lower cost.
The katana in nature should be a chaotic weapon to pull out in defense of your life and generally having it have a low disarm chance means that you will have an advantage if luck favours you.
The odds of disarming a player with it should be significantly lower than with the blunt weapons but having it as a fairly uncommon function whilst having it present enough to count for the katana being a far more effective weapon.
Why should this be added?:
- Realistic to a degree that the server tries to emulate. Katanas are big swords and a slash with them covers a wide area.
- Katana becomes the ultimate melee weapon it deserved to be.
- Grants katanas an edge (pun intended) over blunt weapons in confined spaces.
- The baseball bat wielding new players who manage to knock a sweater raiders gun out of their hands will have a more expensive but more powerful weapon to do that with.
- Not really a balancing issue in my opinion because guns exist and will always be a better option for raiding, mugging, defending and killing in general.
What negatives could this have?:
- 3.4ers getting a lucky hit and becoming Shinobi.
- If the disarm odds are too low, you’ll probably kill them before you get to that point.
- Price may need to be adjusted to accommodate the new function.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: Katanas ticking as many boxes as possible to gain community interest in the existence of an expensive melee weapon.
