Is this a new law or a change to a current law: Change
What law do you wish to change/add:
Law enforcement officers may search a vehicle and/or storage container belonging to a detained person if it is suspectedbelieved that the vehicle contains evidence which is suspected believed to be related to a crime that the Law enforcement officer has reasonable suspicion belief has been committed inside the vehicle and or a crime in which the vehicle has been used, a Law enforcement officer may also search any person who is detained for anything that the detained person is suspected believed to be in possession of relating to the investigation for which they are detained, Law enforcement officers may also search any arrested person in their custody for any evidence of a criminal offence.
Why should this change/addition be made:
In real life belief is around 80% confident whereas suspicion is around 20 to 30% confident, you shouldn't have to BELIEVE someone has items on them to search them. The loophole exists where you can arrest someone on 20% confidence and search them as a result, this means you should arrest people to get easier search powers then immediately de-arrest them when they have nothing on them.
What is the aim of this change/addition:
Remove loophole see above
Additional Information: no
