Topic:

A remote explosives blows all doors but does no damage to people trough a tiny apartment wall.

Short explanation (in notes):

-Remote explosive does no damage to a car.
-It does not go trough ANY walls, as thin as they may be (apartment wall)
-Players can be revived after being blown up, unrealistic.

Detailed description (why should it become added/...):

I been playing with explosives lately and i noticed that they are extremely weak, for example i had a hostage situation where there was a hostage in projex apartments, the LT broke in and released the hostage. They stood just outside of the door and there was an remote explosive on the other side of the wall. I blew it up and it SLIGHTLY BRUISED the LT. These are paper thin wooden walls and realistically speaking would be completely gone after a C4 gone off.

In another case i parked my van inside the bank, it was filled with propane tanks and fuel tanks. I also put a remote explosive inside the van to make it set up but the explosive didn't even set off anything, i had to go in and molotov the van to make it go boom.

As of right now, the only thing they're actually good for is unfreezing people's aidsy defences in raids, they're not good for damaging at all and they do pretty much nothing to people or fuel/propane. I think they do need to be modified to be a lot more powerful.
There was also a raid on the puffer market by a certain group of people once, they planted it behind the puffer market and the only thing it did was unfreeze a metal detector which was quite unrealistic and to be honest, they're not really worth it.

After lots of experience with explosives, sometimes they don't even move props if you place it a few center meters from the ceiling and try to bomb the apt above.

Here's a few problems with your thought process...
  1. They do quite a lot of damage as it is if there is nothing that blocks you from them.
  2. The walls of the apartment are not nearly as thin as you actually think, go into sandbox or some other mode where you have noclip capability and check for yourself.
  3. If we have bombs do damage through walls regardless of thickness this will lead to other other problems of them being "too powerful" in some cases.
  4. They do no actual damage presently to props, drugs, guns, vehicles, etc so that would all need to be changed as well.
  5. Figuring out how a gas/shockwave would flow through a building is not what I'd call easy or very efficient with how it would be done.
  6. It is a nonshaped charge so it has no directional capability to take out a target behind an obstruction precisely.
I mean yes I would agree there are some ways we could fix them potentially, but as they are used so infrequently it is not a high priority by any means. So later on yes I will make changes to them but for now it will have to wait, either way I will put this under accepted until then.
