Suggestion Title: Make the candy cane and broom items "skins"
Suggestion Description: Basically, when you have the appropriate weapon in your inventory (a baseball bat, probably,) along with a candy cane or halloween broom, you can use the holiday item to apply a temporary skin to a weapon, which is removed when the weapon is dropped.
Basically:
Click holiday item with baseball bat in invetory to use it
Why should this be added?:
- This would maintain the current (and intended) functionality of the item while bringing it's "permanent" status in line with the other holiday items. It also ensures that the person using it suffers the appropriate financial loss if it is lost.
What negatives could this have?:
- Coding time, sounds like an annoying implementation (I imagine anything is in gmod.)
What problem would this suggestion solve?: Not really a problem, but the items using their melee functionality makes me a little sad a a melee enjoyer
