Suggestion Title: NO MORE Confiscating items
Suggestion Description: NO MORE confiscating certain items.
1) Add a loading bar of equal duration as a pistol confiscation for confiscating crowbars - if a person has a crowbar equipped and surrenders at the time of arrest, often that crowbar hasn't been used as an asset for the relevant crime, or, an officer will by accident take it when confiscating something else, or picking up an evidence marker.
This hopefully prevents accidental and instant confiscations. In addition, hopefully increases importance of returning it to the owner if not used as an asset, even if he's getting arrested, to new and current police who will then see it treated as a valuable.
2) Remove the ability for officers to confiscate empty bottles and beer en masse, by seperating every instance, and/or grey the beer out like a crowbar in the confiscation menu - often when getting arrested officers take these even if they weren't used as an asset in an appropriate crime, due to being available in the menu.
In addition, if a person uses one of the above items as an asset, it is consumed (for beer) or singular (for bottle as a weapon).
A good comparison would be that you wouldn't take 10 crowbars and 10 bobbies from a person who only used one illegally.
Also promote me to sergeant and increase all confiscation timers by flat 3 seconds to minimize accidental confiscation, allow superior officers to interfere, and/or allow criminals to have slightly more time to recover some items.
Why should this be added?:
- Less accidental confiscations
- More fair and realistic asset forfeiture
- Improves rp quality within Police and increases incentive to use rp commands
- Slight confiscation timer increase allows superior officers to interfere if an officer doesn't follow policy, especially for lesser items that are very quick to confiscate.
- If all confiscations are increased by 3 seconds, it improves the above listed, gives more time to cancel, and also allows for criminals to have more time to free their friends AND keep the loot
What negatives could this have?:
- One could argue that making a report or IA on the officer would yield in that officer being corrected, but this hopefully lowers the inconvenience to players.
- It could be tedious for officers to stay longer to confiscate (example 10 guns = extra 30 seconds). This can be solved by adjusting the timer.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: The above
