Preface
Welcome to the January 2022 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Attached to the newsletter will be a message from the office of the Chiefs of Department, awards, key moments and careers. Any additions to the newsletter please contact People Services via helpdesk.
Message from the Chief
"As we make a start to a new fresh year for the Department in 2022, we felt that it was important that colleagues who went above and beyond in 2021 should be recognised. That is why the Chiefs of Department Awards 2021 are now accepting nominations - you can read more about that here.
As we embark into 2022, we have both gained and lost valuable colleagues and friends. We thank @Samuel for their service as Head of Development Services, including all of the development work he has done for the Department both on PLPD.online and elsewhere. We welcome @Mallard as our new Head of Public Relations and @Dank, who has offered to take up post as the new Head of Development Services.
Very imminently we will be releasing details of the Policy Board which will have its terms of reference agreed upon, and colleagues will be able to start submitting suggestions to Major Collier as the Chairperson. We will be rolling out Staff Sergeant applications for Patrol and Traffic very shortly also.
I hope that everyone had a good Christmas and a pleasant start to the New Year, and I look forward to what 2022 brings for us together as a Department."
- Chief of Department Acer Joseph
