Preface​

Welcome to the May 2023 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Attached to the newsletter will be a message from the office of the Chiefs of Department, awards, key moments and careers. Any additions to the newsletter please contact Human Resources via helpdesk.

Message from the Chief​

“Thank you to everyone who made contributions to the Department throughout the month of May. Once again, we had another successful movie night where we watched Hot Fuzz, and it was great to see some new faces come along. Alongside this, we released results for the latest iteration of the Employee Satisfaction Survey. Taking in your feedback, we have made passed on crucial information to the relevant Department heads to make positive changes.

We have had a couple of command members step down this, and it will be sad to see them both go. Additionally, in command, we have made a policy changes for activity requirements, so that dispatcher hours are now included. We hope this boosts the numbers of dispatchers on-duty. We hope to be getting an update out for dispatchers soon that should also help in boosting numbers. As always, anyone is welcome to reach out to myself or John Davids if you have any questions or need any support.”

Officer of the Month - May 2023

He has recently returned to the Department having not been here for a long time, and he has been very active since his return, as he has already climbed up one rank during this short period of time. It's nice to see someone be proactive and actively seek to improve themselves too, as I have seen when in game. Keep up the good work!"

Police Distinguished Service

Awarded to: Senior Officer Bojing Mohammad 9675 (Bojing)

"The Head of the Tactical Firearms Unit would like to bestow the Police Distinguished Service award to Bojing Mohammad for their longitude and quality of service to the Tactical Firearms Unit. Bojing's contribution over the past 2 years to the division throughout the course of their service as Lieutenant will stand within TFU For the remainder of its existence. The Tactical Firearms Units quality assurance programme could not have happened without Bojing being at the helm of commanding and overseeing what was arguably the most ambitious and effective endeavour ever taken by TFU Command in terms of ensuring the division maintained its elite status within the Police Department. We wish Bojing Mohammad the best of luck in any and all future endeavours they pursue within and outside of the Police Department"

Police Meritorious Achievement

Auston came in first place for Patrols OR campaign #ObservingExcellence, having done the most and highest quality OR's throughout the duration of this campaign. We would like to thank you for taking the time to patrol with lower ranked officers, teaching them the ropes, and being a great role model to all of them"
