Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my frustrating experience with the Perpheads ban process. I know this isn’t meant as a shot at the admins, but I’ve been going through an incredibly frustrating situation that I hope others can understand.

I was permanently banned for 'cheating,' but I can assure you I never used cheats. I suspect that performance boosting code or programs I downloaded to fix issues with my Garry’s Mod and Perpheads setup triggered the anti-cheat system. My computer is old and slow, and I struggled to get the game running properly, so I made some changes—things like switching to x86 mode and removing certain folders. I didn’t cheat, but I think these tweaks caused the system to flag me.

After the ban, I made a ban dispute explaining everything and provided OBS recordings of my gameplay as evidence (including footage of the same day, 30 minutes before their system was flagged). In my dispute, I also offered to share demo files multiple times. The first time was in my original ban dispute: “I’m 100% down for hopping on a call, sharing more information, whatever you’d like me to do.” I also mentioned in a direct message to A1L, “Man, I really don’t cheat. You don’t want demos?” but was told by A1L that they couldn’t share specifics and didn’t seem interested in the demos at that point.

When I didn’t get a response from A1L, thought all hope was lost and even deleted Gmod, I reached out again through Discord to Sindarin as a final attempt. I was hopeful because Sindarin seemed open to investigating and actually asked me for demo files, which was exactly what I had wanted from the beginning. Unfortunately, by the time I was asked for the demos, I had already deleted Garry’s Mod and all the files, including the demos. I deleted the game thinking I wouldn’t need them after my ban appeal was dismissed and ignored. I regret this decision now, but it felt like I wasn’t going to be unbanned anyway.

I fully understand why Sindarin requested the demos, and I’m not frustrated with him at all. He was very helpful throughout the process. The frustrating part is that I offered the demos multiple times before my ban appeal was closed, but by the time someone actually wanted them, I no longer had the files. Sindarin let me know that it wasn’t enough and I’d have to wait out at least a year of my ban.

I genuinely enjoyed playing on Perpheads, and this whole process has been incredibly disheartening. I never cheated, and I did everything I could to provide evidence to clear up the misunderstanding. I just wish there had been more thorough communication earlier on, especially since I had already offered to share the demos multiple times.

Thanks for reading, and I hope this serves as a reminder to others about the importance of careful communication and consideration when dealing with bans. I really hope this can be resolved, but for now, it looks like I’m stuck. I shouldn't of deleted the demo's, but I honestly didn't think I'd be making another attempt. Sindarin's attention and dedication on the case got me hopeful that it would be resolved, making it more frustrating because I had the demo's... Ugh, what a shitshow.

Your steam account was created on December 28, 2024, you have 1 friend on steam (3izu) and have a lvl 1 account. I generally associate these accounts with an alt account used for cheating. Since 12 days you discovered the world of gaming, discord, garry's mod ánd perpheads? but i'm sure you've got an explaination for that.

Yeah am not reading this. Make an apology in 1 year

"my computer is old and slow", however runs OBS (an already cpu heavy software) on top of playing gmod (a game that relies mostly on your cpu), along with the "performance boosting code/programs".

better luck next time :D

I totally understand the responses from people under this post. I didn’t expect it beforehand, but in hindsight, it’s Garry’s Mod, so I should have known better (and would have probably reacted the same way if I were in your shoes). And about the arguments made: there obviously are explanations, but I can't be bothered (and YOU probably can't be bothered to read them anyway, am I right?).

Obviously, I can’t change anyone’s mind, so feel free to take your shots at my post. Wishing you all the best time playing the game & contributing to the community. And just a sidenote, this is in no way shape or form a shot at the anti-cheat system you've developed here, as I have confessed to have downloaded multiple performance improvers that might have caused false positives. Just saying. And this is only a possible explanation. Also wanna again put emphasis on the fact that it's my fault that I deleted the demo's that would've saved my ass.

trust me bro these posts dont work, been there done that too
