Phone recommendations / suggestions

I tried out the Sony Xperia 1 V, this shit cost me €1,400 in 2023 but I could make back some of the money by reselling the pair of headphones by pre-ordering.

I suggest you stay away from Sony if it ever comes into your consideration. I get no more OS updates after 2 years and next year is when I will also get no more security updates.
Hardware by itself is amazing. 4K screen and really good sensors, I myself photograph a lot as a hobby with my Olympus and they're really good.
Sadly, software wise this phone sucks. They couldn't fix a framerate issue for a year, some apps were unusable and kept crashing and even YouTube was broken.
The new Xperia phones don't even come with a 4k screen anymore on the flagships like this lol

I will most likely end up going for Samsung again now that they finally use Snapdragon chips in the EU (Remember Exynos?). Probably a Z Flip 7, I somehow really like these phones lol. (Edit: apparently the Z Flip 7 uses Exynos again lol)

Xiaomi is also really good especially for what you get for the money. My dad upgraded from my old Xiaomi 10T Pro to a 14T Pro. Tried it and I honestly wish I had it now. The 0% to 100% charge from the 120W brick is also really nice.

Other great phones are Pixel and Nothing Phone.
Get what you want but just stay away from Sony :)

Hello folks! Today we're back with a random hardware post, and since we've probably all been here before asking this very question I'll get right to it.

My phone is entering the stage of it's last life as feels like it basically is on life support.

Therefore I'm seeking out a new phone to replace my current one and I was hoping the tech geeks in here would bestow their wisdom upon me.

Max price that I have for the new phone is 1200€

I have a two simple criteria to the phone
  • NO IPHONE otherwise I WILL find a reason to carbomb you (Android only please)
  • Decent front and back camera (Photo & Video)
I've been using OnePlus phones up until now my latest OnePlus Nord CE 2 (5G) which I've had for about 2-3 years ish and given the issue that I've having with it I felt like this was the time for an upgrade.

Let me hear your suggestions below, I'm excited to see what you guys have in mind!
İphone 16

Jokes and all if its enough (Idk the economy over there) Buy a samsuns s series.

İmagine being a iphone person because its just a god damn iphone. I swear that phone has nothing good on it. 2X the price and the features are so behind from samsung as always.

anyway I'd stick with OnePlus, I had the Nord (1st gen) for 4 years, it was great until the screen just fell out one day
Now I have a OnePlus 11 which i got in December

Honestly OnePlus has a special place in my heart I'm really tempted to go back into the flagship model. Always felt like they just had something that clicked really well for my needs.

As much as it is my ultimate choice it never hurts to ask around for peoples thoughts and or suggestions. I'm definitely learning valuable things reading through the replies that's for sure.

I got a pixel 9 pro XL and I really like the cameras tbf. only downside I would say is that it can be prone to bugs. One update introduced a bug that broke auto-rotate for like 2 months lol
