Had this goober for like 19 years of my life along with a smaller male, it was a neglect rescue situation after my younger brothers nursery teachers acquired them through a divorce or something after her partner didn’t want them and planned to release them (Very dangerous and illegal to do that). They came to us in one of those horrible plastic shit turtle enclosures which neither of them had any space to move or swim in and their whole diet consisted of dried shrimp and sandwich ham. Both also had metabolic bone disease, hence why there’s dent like holes in her shell (The smaller male would sit on her back and cling on with his claws, which ended up burrowing into the shell itself).

She is in the bucket because she’s had reoccurring eye infections in the eye that’s currently closed and we need to keep her out the water for about 20 minutes so the eye has time to soak in the medication (The enclosure is currently undergoing renovations which is why her surroundings are bare bones rn)

Here’s an older picture from like 2022 when we were doing a water change, the smaller male is visible.
