Main idea:
Bring the crafting price of an L115A3 "AWP" Down to match the price of the M14 and SR25, or at least be 5k more to make than said guns.
Description:
The AWP Currently costs $49570 to craft with a mag. Meanwhile, the M82 costs $49780 to make with a mag.
Anyone sane would quite obviously chose the M82 over the AWP for basically everything ever, and with a 210 dollar price difference between the M82 and the AWP, the extra 210 it takes to make the M82 offers benefits such as:
- 1 shot kills everything with a 99.9% Guarantee
- Shoots though fucking swat vans
- Semi automatic with a decent rate of fire
- Usable at virtually any range.
- Actually has iron sights.
As such, the L115A3 has faded into Obscurity and I've only seen them used 3 times this year in total.
Why this should be added:
- Incentive to use the L115A3
- Makes sense, as the L115A3 is the runt of the competition in comparison to other similar priced sniper rifles
Pros:
- The L115A3's price tag reduction would rekindle an interest in the gun.
- Makes perfect sense to bring it down to the same tier as an SR-25 and M14 considering most people turn to SR-25's because they do the job better than an AWP.
Cons:
- Would devalue anyones inventory if they have a decent supply of L115A3's.
- People still probably wouldn't use it.
