Additional duty for Firefighters to perform - CORONER.
Short explanation:
- The profession of Firefighters is considered unneeded/redundant unless there is a fire which needs to be extinguished. Therefore they need additional tasks/tools which enables them to become more beneficial and purposeful.
Detailed description:
The Firefighters have already been given a "Health Kit" which allows them to perform basic first aid. However, that's their secondary purpose / contribution at scenes of emergencies.
It often occurs that people die as the result of accidents, murder or simply natural causes.
If a person has been declared dead the corpse becomes a logistic issue rather than an urgent medical emergency. Efficient disposal of the corpses is a necessity due to the hazardous risks of diseases to be spread as they decompose. Furthermore, the sight of dead people can result in psychological trauma to some individuals.
The majority of EMTs/Paramedics respond to call-outs by using the First Responder vehicle which can't transport deceased people. It relieves the pressure of the Emergency Services throughout Paralake City by allowing Firefighters to perform such tasks.
If this suggestion is implemented it would benefit LEOs and EMTs but especially Firefighters.
It's a known fact that the occurrence of a fire is a rare event. Paramedics are constantly busy attending to medical emergencies. They need to be available for urgent call-outs at all times when lives are at stake. Firefighters have plenty of time to perform such duties.
Add the following tools to Firefighters:
- DNA Sampling Tool.
- Body Remover.
- Ford Transit Van, red color and no emergency lights/sirens (only 1 van can be spawned and it may not patrol or be used for other things than the disposal of deceased).
- Receive $250 when removing a deceased.
- Perhaps add a text saying "CORONER VAN".
Optional additions:
- Allow Firefighters to get bandages at the Police Department (for obvious reasons):
