so i discovered this completely by accident when I placed the bench for roleplay purposes (naturally) ,sat on it, and died. I thought I got shot from the petrol station, but I found out it was a map bug when more people were sat on it, specifically in that right-corner. I'd left it as there were loads of bodies in the Harbor and thought nobody would use it, but they were being beckoned to use the bench. Shortly after, I picked it up. So @flux definitely lost his gun due to a bug which I had no idea existed and a bug report should soon follow
