Brief description of idea: Completely remove shotgun Policy

What benefits would this idea have for the department: Allow Officers to carry Shotguns at all times during patrols and pursuits.

What potential negatives could this have for the department:
I don't see any possible downsides?

I thought this idea was to remove shotguns and I was about to support it.

As it stands I don't see any benefit in allowing officers to walk around with their shotguns, but on the other hand, the policy which applies to supervisory ranks, the ones who should be enforcing this actively aren't.

Considering no one ever even follows this Policy I don't see a need to have it

In all honestly, the amount of times I've seen command members, including chiefs, with shotguns on their backs when on normal patrol is quite high.

I'd say we get rid of it completely, I don't think anyone actually bothers about making IAs for officers who do carry their shotgun on their back.
