[SOLVED] Microphone doesn't work on GMOD ect

Yo waddup people from the internet. I've got a problem, the problem is that my mic doesn't work on GMOD. But it does work on TS, CSGO ect. Can anyone give any solutions? I would appreciate it.

Clean reinstall. That means deleting it using the steam thingy, going to the file in Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> Steamapps -> Common and then deleting the GarrysMod folder, then reinstalling using Steam

Regarding your issue I was wondering is it just not projecting your sound even though the little icon appears (or your mouth moves in-game more so on perp) or is that you press the button and nothing happens, This is vital information.

Even when I talk really loud the meter doesn't go up.

But in my sound settings I am clearly talking....

I have issues where I will get lag spikes when using push-to-talk after using said microphone in-game for a while, before either cutting out entirely, or sounding fucking spastic. I've found a simple, but temporary fix, whenever it starts fucking up, just change the frequency a bit (Nothing too drastic, just to the nearest DVD quality frequency, I made a gif to explain what I mean.
