The Diamond
Hello, today we are introducing a new long term event called The Diamond. XQ Bank have recently had a Diamond added to their Bank Vault and it is due to be shipped away from the city to be valued in about a weeks time. There is only one diamond and although it hasn't yet been valued it is believed to be worth at least several hundred thousands or even over a million dollars. As soon as this event is announced we suspect people will be fighting for possession over the diamond in order to sell it for a huge profit.
HOW TO PLAY
- The default value of the diamond is $25,000, it cannot go lower but can increase to a maximum of $1,000,000
- The diamond is now available to grab at XQ Bank, there is only one.
- Any citizen can gain possession of the Diamond and will have to defend it with their life.
- Information regarding the whereabouts of the diamond may be leaked if you have it for too long.
- A diamond trader will make themselves known in about a week from now to purchase the diamond from you.
- The value of the diamond will fluctuate depending on a variety of circumstances
- If the police find the diamond they will return it to XQ Bank.
- The diamond will be dropped on death and cannot be stored.

RULES OF THE EVENT
- If you hold the diamond you must not enter Harlem's Casino for any longer than five minutes a day, you cannot enter if being pursued by another person.
- If you hold the diamond you can be mugged in public only for the diamond, as long as it is not in view of police officers and they have a reasonable escape.
- If you hold the diamond you must not join any jobs, if you gain the diamond whilst on a job you must return it to XQBank which lowers the value of the diamond.
- You cannot kill on sight the diamond holder unless they are posing an immediate threat to you or fail to comply with reasonable orders during the mugging attempt.
- Any information posted by staff on the #server-events channel can be used in-game for an advantage.
- The diamond holder, or anybody assisting him/her must still have a valid roleplay reason to shoot at police officers, just having the diamond on you is not a good enough reason.
