Suggestion Title: The PD Cooper (Not April Fools)
Suggestion Description: A Police vehicle for the boys with no hats (PO's) Capped speed limit so they cant minge and run people over but just enough so they can get from point A to point B (Only used in Emergency cases when they can't receive a pickup off any available officers) (Not to be used in normal patrols)

Why should this be added?:
- Being PO is punishment enough but this adds to the public humiliation factor. Plus most of the time PO's get stranded at PD and loiter outside the front sidewalk like a flock of birds when there's no Officers that are willing to take them to a situation (Non violent crimes or misfires).

- This can also be used on a potential driving course managed by RTU, which will feature parking, cone manoeuvres etc (Crash Course Type Beat)

What negatives could this have?:
- Well an obvious one is the Minge driving and potential VDM but if you make it as harmful as a baton then you can't go wrong.

- Another negative aspect is it might give people motivation to become PO which in that case if they have motivation to handicap themselves in the PLPD then they should just be blacklisted (In my opinion).

The whole purpose of the probationary rank is to allow firearms and vehicle offenders to have a second chance before we get rid of them completely. Allowing them to access a car also would allow convenient independence which defeats the purpose of making them reliant on a supervisor to perform their duties.

Could this still not be used for the potential crash course or is that too much of a stretch?

If they introduce a crash course for PO’s to complete then they wouldn’t need access to the car as the training area can just be used to give them a car in a safe environment.

Enabling Probationary Officers to have access to any kind of vehicle, even if as humiliating/frustrating as a Mini Cooper, defeats the purpose of the programme - it is to demonstrate a willingness to improve and showcase corrected behaviour. As @Bnej mentioned, the Training System has capability for trainers to produce a variety of vehicles in a closed and easily-monitored environment.
