Suggestion Title: Fishing tweaks that WILL improve fishing overnight
Suggestion Description: Implement the following suggestions and make fishing ACTUALLY enjoyable, ordered by a laywomans estimation of complexity to implement
- Cooking fish should give more than 20% extra money, maybe make it add a fixed value instead of scaling based on fish price.
- Raw fish should be in their own "fishing" category that allows for increased carrying capacity (maybe 25-30?)
- Let people drop chests near merchant NPCs
- Increase the spawn rate of valuable fish in muggable areas
Why should this be added?:
Currently fishing is underused, which is a massive shame because it has the potential to be a relaxed, social way to generate money but it feels very unfun because of various QoL issues and it's contribution to criminal RP is not currently explored.
Some of these suggestions constitute a buff to fishing, but cooking is simply not worth it currently. A buff should be considered. All Government jobs are risk-free, and fishing feels over penalised for being the same.
Currently the hard 15 limit on fish is annoying and inconvenient, especially if you start fishing with other food in your inventory.
Dropping chests next to merchant NPCs would eliminate the requirement to carry the chest long ways, which is honestly very annoying.
The last suggestion is more of a conceptual overhaul than the others, but it would encourage people to be outside, fishing in muggable areas which may help encourage roleplay that isn't purely based on raids.
What negatives could this have?:
You run the risk of doing all this and then no one fishes anyway.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: Not only is fishing underpowered, but it is also clunky and needs a QoL pass.
