After years of development, I am excited to finally be able to share with you the that Paralake V6 is now live on the server and the Steam Workshop. Today's update log will go over some of the changes in the map, as well as other gamemode updates both V6 related, and unrelated. Before diving into that, a quick thank you to everyone who has helped with V6. From those on the development team, the admins who have worked on updating the guides, and the many playtesters, who have kept the map a secret since last November despite probably quite a lot of temptation to talk about it. It's been a group effort, especially in the final few months, and we wouldn't have reached this point without everyone who contributed. You can find the full map credits here.
This is a big post so if you want to find the header you're interested in they are:
New Map Information
I don't want to spoil too much of the new map, as part of the fun will be exploring it, but I will go over some important bits that will help you find your way. Like in previous versions, the map is split into 4 districts; City, Suburbs, Forest and Business.
Properties
There are a few returning buildings in V6, like Regals and Farm, but for the most part, you have entirely new properties to choose from:
Many of the old NPC shops have been replaced with new brands. Most of them have also been moved to spawn making it easier to grab everything you need from one place. Here is an updated list to help you find what you're looking for:
Replacing the Monorail is the new Paralake City Metro. It is the fastest way to get around the map, with stations in the City, Suburbs and Business districts. Look for the overground Metro stand and make your way down the stairs into the station in order to board a train. There are 2 lines, running every 90 seconds.
That should be everything you need to know before you start exploring Paralake V6. If you get stuck you can find lots more information in the new updated guides over on help.perpheads.com
If you are having issues with conficting content, be sure to unsubscribe from Paralake V5 and other previous versions. Given that this is a new map, bugs and issues are expected. Please report any bugs you find here.
Adverts & Billboards
A major change we have made is to the advert system. To cut down on bad adverts, we have removed the ability to use /advert. In order to place an advert now, you must head to one of two locations on the map; the Paralake News Building in the City, or the PLN News Stand in the Business District. From these locations you will be able to either place a single advert, or schedule a set of repeating adverts to go out over a specified period of time.
Similar to adverts, Billboards have also moved. You can now hire billboards at the Paralake News Building instead of the Bank. You can also now purchase horrizontal billboards as well as vertical ones.
Robbing the Bank
With V6, XQ Bank and the surrounding area has been remade from scratch. Along with this some changes have been made to how the bank robbery works. We hope this will bring some new gameplay opportunities while feeling more balanced and being less disruptive to the City. This should provide new challenges to both the robbers and police with a greater emphasis on strategy and communication.
The weather system has received a massive overhaul and is being reintroduced with V6. The visual effects have been completely redone to both look and perform better and are accompanied by new (more satisfying) sound effects. Along with this, a new seasons system has been added which will adjust the textures and models of the map's foliage throughout the in-game year. Together these changes should make the map feel much more alive and dynamic.
Interactive Map
A new map is being intoduced at https://www.paralakev6.com/map. This new interactive web map will allow you to get a better understanding of the layout for V6, as it contains information on all the key locations. The mugging map has also been integrated into it, instead of being an image on help.perpheads.com. On top of this you can also find other layers, such as street names and property boundaries. To switch between layers, click the button in the bottom right of the page.
Further layers and information will be added to the map in the future.
New Vehicle
Alongside the new map, we are introducing a the new BearCat to replace the old TFU Brute.
Miscellaneous Changes
Updated Guides
As mentioned earlier, the Admins have worked incredibly hard to update the guides on help.perpheads.com in preperation for V6. This includes the Construction Handbook - which has been updated with all the new properties, Bank Robbery Guide, Drug Dealer Guide and many more. Be sure to check it out the new guides if you get stuck or are unsure of something that has changed in V6.
Check out PERPHeads Help here.
Rule Changes
To facilitate the new map, some rule changes have been made.
Law Changes
In addition, the jaywalking law has changed to be less restrictive, with the new law disallowing jaywalking on highways only. The Description of Road Signs law (12.15) has also been changed to reflect the new map's changes to them. More law changes and motions will follow shortly after the map's release.
12.1 Jaywalking
It is an offence to enter or cross any part of a highway, or to obstruct the flow of traffic on any public road while on foot. Crossing any road promptly and safely does not constitute an offence under this law.
Thank You

Rule Changes
To facilitate the new map, some rule changes have been made.
- 2.5 Excessive Negativity
Excessively impacting the experience of others negatively is not allowed unless it is a proportionate escalation against negative actions already performed.
When seeking revenge, players have a two hour window to do so, provided they are unaware that their target has died and respawned.
For example, it is excessive to:
During active, obvious raids on bases, players may kill occupants who are:
- Intentionally mug/target new players, or scam them for their items/money
- Kill someone over verbal insults, or minor/accidental actions
- Destroy valuable items due to basic distaste such as pricing
- Kill someone without a good reason after mugging them
- Scam/deceive others for their premium tokens, rare/seasonal items or their monetary value
- Use explosives without ensuring that uninvolved players’ items are not damaged, or use molotovs in raids
- Kill Paramedics/Firefighters, unless they have failed to follow reasonable orders at gunpoint.
Unarmed occupants caught off-guard during silent raids must not be killed on sight.
- Known to be armed
- Aren’t surrendering
- Entering or exiting with visible weapons
- 3.4 Putting your Life at Risk
Any actions that risk a player’s life, well-being or freedom from imprisonment must be done for beneficial and realistic reasons. Players must take measures to avoid their death at all times.
Examples of unreasonable risks include:
Valid reasons to kill Police include:
- Disobeying reasonable orders under the threat of lethal force, such as at gunpoint.
- Remaining near shootouts while unarmed/uninvolved, or with the intention of looting weapons.
- Not taking precautions to avoid Police attention or leaving the area after committing crimes.
- Running on the highway without a justifiable reason.
- Committing serious crimes within eyeshot of Police.
- Fleeing/killing Police to avoid minor fines or sentences.
- Excessively prank calling 911 without a valid reason (e.g., diverting Police from a crime scene)
- Raiding properties with melee weapons
- Staying near a crime scene after committing a crime to engage in further combat.
- Not taking precautions to avoid arrest or Police attention after committing crimes.
- Avoiding a long prison sentence, typically 7+ years
- Preventing the imminent detection of drug production.
- Committing a violent crime for which the Police would use lethal force for apprehension
- 3.9 Evading Pursuers
Evading pursuers must be done so realistically and only where there is a reasonable chance of escape. Needlessly escalating police pursuits into shootouts is not allowed. Hiding from pursuers in Peaceful Zones is not allowed. Changing, joining, or leaving jobs to avoid interacting with pursuers is not allowed. Players must not use the Monorail if their pursuer is nearby.
- 3.15 Driving and Damaging Vehicles
Players must always drive on the correct side of the highway; obey traffic laws whilst at the Intersection; and vehicles - stolen or otherwise - must be driven to the best of a player’s ability so as to avoid collisions. There may be valid reasons not to do so, where the benefits outweigh the risks. This includes but is not limited to running a red light at the Intersection to significantly increase one’s chances of survival or running someone over in self-defence. Ramming a car out of a parking space solely to claim said space is not allowed.
