Suggestion Title: V5 WEEKEND
Suggestion Description: For very long years we had maps very similar to v5 but v6 is a whole new map. I think it would be a good idea to get some nostalgia and to switch to V5 every first weekend of the month. So 2 days per month. This would break the routines and it would be something new without actually devs putting in work. I'm confident everyone will be looking forward to this weekend.

Why should this be added?:
- Breaks V6 routines, creates changes that require no work.
- A lot of OG players will return, they will buy perp tokens and server will get more money.
- V5 bazaar, projex, glassco, and morons.
- New base defences, no prefire spots memorised = more fun
What negatives could this have?:
- People might be confused on mug map
- The devs that made v6 might get bullied
- OG players might get addicted to perp again

What problem would this suggestion solve?: This tries to solve V6 getting boring.

Personally I like the older Paralake versions much more, current one feels too futuristic and big. Can't find people these days...

I really hope the staff team don't choose to do this when it's clearly people just having nostalgia. People will rarely be happy with the new map, despite it being amazing. People would be begging to return to V6 on these weekends

V5 had huge issues; its walkability was horrible. V6 flows much more nicely together

Everyone is saying that it's only nostalgia, but it's not all about it!
V5 had something to it that V6 doesn't.
The layout the map had, buildings, bazaar, projex, even the forest (while shitty) and the vibe itself is not something you see in V6. The city felt like a lived in place.

Back in 2023 when it was PERPHeads' 10 year anniversary, we got our first teasers of V6.
A lot of people, including me were expecting only some new buildings, a door removed or two, maybe a roundabout but that's about it, not a whole map change.

After the launch hype of v6 ended, the map felt and still feels weird (maybe only for me), like it was not made for PERPHeads. It took away a lot of the charm that v5 had.
Walking in Bazaar at full pop is like walking in a mall near closing time, yeah there are full shops with decorations, but players...not that many.

V6 as a map looks amazing, the detail it has is nothing I've ever seen in a Garry's Mod map. But it feels really strange and weird to play on, way too modern, like a city that no human being has ever touched.

" the vibe itself is not something you see in V6." nostalgia
" charm that v5 had" nostalgia
"But it feels really strange and weird to play on," nostalgia

For me V6 feels like all these things becuase its where i have spent most my time i much prefer it to V5

Because it's a feeling that you can't back up with anything, so it's most likely nostalgia. Not to throw any rocks
the map isn't as much of an open nightmare to what v6 is, an example is the harbour/industrial area and also bazaar is just 100x better

- Highway pull off zones for breakdowns for speed traps and repairs or shelter during arrests,
- City hall having the upper foyer you could shoot from during raids to prevent access,
- Bazzar shops were TINY and more active you could get increased roleplay and interaction there with enough room to make gorgeous multi level shops and they felt like little kiosks,
- The drug dealer spot near hungriges was a better spot in my opinion thematically wise and keeping one on their toes,
- The storage being near the park is HUGE vs city. The city is a rdm hotspot with people dieing at spawn on v6 and being involved in storage shootouts and bank with 0 reprise as its next door. Suburbs storage kept things separate from the city to avoid issues.
- Leaches in the forest lake were not an issue and caused firefighters to have more job.
- Stonehenge was a great hiding spot and is now no longer present making it harder to hide.
- Speaking of hiding the dense forest trees being gone makes it near impossible to hide.
- The city park was nice for events out of the way of the city on v5 vs v6. The ufo event during halloween lended itself there and players made mega constructs alot.
- The v5 crane was pretty. We have no industrial dock. v6's dock area is kinda... bland."

Not just nostalgia.

The only thing I would see people complain about is not having enough properties and how the bank raid plays.

I really hope this suggestion will see the light of day and not just denied without any reason or for "not looking to do this right now", who knows maybe we'll go on v5 for longer than 2 days a month(full revert?):)

Not to hate, but I don't really understand why v6 HAD to bring such a big change. V5 was already close to being perfect (from my POV). Could've just added a few more properties, maybe a roundabout at the intersection in the city, modified the bank so it would keep the bank robbery pvp mostly on the inside, and kept the map as it was.

-You had amazing activity at Bazaar, it being the hotspot for people just wanting to chill, even with the cost of having 20fps. It was much better than the bazaar we have now.
-For roleplay, V6 has a bit more to offer, but it depends more on the playerbase, not on the map itself.
-PVP and Combat in v5 felt much better as well due to the fact that the map wasn't as open as v6 is. (like many many people have said)

Realism/Looks < Fun/Gameplay
It's Garry's Mod at the end of the day, not FiveM.

I've been around on PERPHeads for what feels like forever - granted I have had substantial breaks throughout - where I started playing when we launched with Evocity. Having experienced Paralake from V1 to V5 (with V5 being a good number of years), every version of Paralake before V6 felt very much the same. Sure, there were changes, but nothing as substantial as V6.

I truly believe that no matter what way you slice it, V6 is simply a better map. I think the layout moved towards feeling more organic, which I prefer, and the cohesive design language of the map helps alleviate the fact that I'm playing on a decades old game. A more modern-looking map for me makes the game feel more modern and enjoyable. I feel like V6 is also more reflective of what a real life city or large town actually feels like, having lived in and around London all my life. It doesn't have the same volume of 'grittiness' that past versions had, which resulted I think from using a lot of HL2 design cues, but it's still there if you go looking for it and it's in appropriate places.

I also feel the map is far better optimised - even before I upgraded my PC - which has made playing all the more enjoyable. I will admit that while I do occasionally do raids and combat, I don't do it to the same extent as some people on the server, but I still feel exhilarated and excited by PVP opportunity on V6. In fact, I find it even more so than on V5 (despite hitreg issues) because of how different the map is in terms of layout and how far less predicable combat can be.

Needless to say, I am a huge fan of V6 and the quality of the map is a huge testament to the skill and work put in by @peeps and those who supported her, and I hope that what I mentioned above are furthered in V7.

I'm going to be honest and say that I don't share the experience of less interaction or roleplay opportunity as a result of V6. Sure, you do have to go out of your way a bit more to find it, but ultimately what I think it comes down to is a far greater selection of better, more optimised properties and people spending more time in them. I don't think this is a bad thing as I distinctly remember the constant F6 tickets of people asking for us to scour properties to force sell for not being used; this happens way less often on V6. Going more out of your way has also led me to experience more of the map and focus on the environment that has been created and spend more time enjoying it.

Having played V5 and the subsequent versions that were, truthfully, quite similar for so many years, I simply don't have the innate desire to go back to V5. It would be a bit nostalgic, sure, but I'm almost certain that after maybe half a day I would be practically chomping at the bit to go back to V6. I feel like that this thing of going back to V5 occasionally is just replacing when people on V5 were asking for us to go on Evocity occasionally.

I also have no shame in saying that I absolutely hated the old Bazaar. I get it was a huge buzz of activity all the time, but for me it was exhausting trying to have a conversation with one or two people and hearing a million of them all at once, including people incessantly screaming their heads off for no reason other than to be annoying, and when any kind of incident happened it would just blow up and affect literally everyone in Bazaar.

So I guess to summarise, I really don't want to go back to V5. I love V6 and what @peeps and co worked hard to produce for us, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Paralake evolves even further in V7.
