Suggestion Title: Vending machines which dispense cheap foods
Suggestion Description: This suggestion is to:
- Add vending machines to perp
- Make existing vending machines around the map usable
- Adding new food items to the server to be dispensed from these machines.
Part 1: How I think vending machines should function:
Vending machines should, upon pressing E, open a menu similar to the drug dealers menu. The reason it should be like this and not like a regular shop NPC Is to prevent people unrealistically selling items to a vending machine, and to limit purchases to 1 item per interaction in the same way a vending machine works irl.
You should then be given multiple options to click, and clicking one deducts the money from your wallet in exchange for the item you chose being added straight to your inventory.
Part 2: It’s contents:
Existing food items to make available in the vending machine should include:
- Bottled water
- Orange juice
- Soda
Alongside this, add these food items to be sold via the machine.
Part 3: Locations:
Locations for all these vending machines in my opinion should include:
City:
1 outside PD Lent up against the wall outside next to the entrance.
1 in city hall lobby, next to the ATM.
1 In the fire station lobby.
1 in the hospital.
1 at city monorail station.
1 in the lobby of the bank building, leaning against the pre vault outer wall.
1 outside city gas station
1 at fire department gas station
1 at beach
Suburbs:
2 in suburbs monorail station, 1 at the top floor, 1 in the bottom floor.
Business sector / docks:
2 at business monorail station (iirc there’s already unusable ones placed there.
1 in bazaars walkway
2 inside casino
1 inside car dealer
1 outside business gas station
1 outside docks pub
1 outside courier warehouse
1 outside car wash
1 at bazaar front parking leaning against the wall of Puffermart
Why should this be added?:
- If done alongside my food update suggestion this will add a fair amount of new content to the game.
- Player convenience.
- Makes use of map objects currently unusable.
- Shouldn’t be difficult to implement
- Would certainly be used
What negatives could this have?:
- new or returning old players who are unaware of this feature would likely not find out.
