Why were you punished?: 1.1 - Disrespectfull behaviour in LOOC after winning a raid.

Why should this appeal be considered?: The staff member in question gave me a warning for violating rule 1.1. During the situation in question I was defending a raid, where I had a good fight with the raiders involved. In the raid, I’ve won a 1v3 defence. I got the warning for sending the message “shit on” in LOOC. I personally do not feel that this message was disrespectful, nor was it sent in bad faith. This was just meant as some friendly banter, after a good fight between each other. I’ve seen this done lots of times during my years on the server, and have never seen people pick it up as disrespectful, or have any complaints about it.

The main reason I am disputing this warning is because I think this situation does not warrant a warning for rule 1.1. I feel this rule is reserved, and in place to protect people from vulgar/malicious or excessive disrespect towards others. The way the warning reason is formulated, it appears as if I was excessively disrespectful towards someone, which was not the case. It was some friendly, competitive-banter between players in a raid. The message was also posted in LOOC to confirm it stayed between the players involved, and not posted throughout the whole server in OOC, where it could’ve potentially been picked up out of context.

I am requesting in this appeal to reconsider the warning, and to have another staff member(s) their 2nd opinion on the situation. People around the community will know that, in my years playing on perpheads, I go out of my way to always be friendly towards other players. As mentioned above, 1.1 should/is reserved to protect players from excessive or malicious disrespect, which was not applicable in this situation.

If you have any further questions for me, please feel free to reach out.
Kind regards,

Willie Kushner

Additional Information: Although it may be debatable, reporting such a message in a competitive environment, where reporting it clearly isn't a means of safeguarding the community and correcting my actions, it's more of a retaliation, of malicious intent, to punish me however they can, due to the fact that they could not punish me IC.

Applying this punishment only enforces and carries through this malicious action despite any rule relations or alleged violations.
