Punishment Type: Warning
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Matthew
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Not Applicable

Your Steam Name: Nazeer
Your Roleplay Name: Ori Anna
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:200655804

Why were you punished?: 2.5 - User killed a player after they had moved away from the area of their raid because he could still see them in the distance.

Why should this appeal be considered?: The person was looking at me while I am shooting at them, instead of turning around and running away. Either he was risking his life or he had the intention of flanking in the raid occurring inside slums warehouse as he was just on his phone when I peeked the first time then put it down when he saw me. When he started "running" away, he was still looking at me and had gotten out of my vision by going onto the road, clearly he could have made it onto the other side of the sidewalk in order to get away from any possible crossfire in the raid OR walk into the park and actually make it to roadcrew to where he wanted to go, but instead he decides to walk whilst looking at the raid. I don't care if the player is a "considerable" distance or not, if you are still in my render distance then you can counter the raid.

If you still believe that this warning is valid, then the player had broken 3.4.

We consider this a valid warning for rule 2.5. The evidence shows the other user complied and attempted to flee from the alleyway after you initially gunpointed them. Taking this into consideration, we deem that shooting them in this situation was excessive.

We also reviewed the other person's actions and the possibility of them breaking 3.4, and we do not think they violated 3.4. Our reason for believing the user was acting within 3.4 is the following:
  • The user was running down and became breathless roughly around the time they entered the alleyway, decreasing their ability to run away faster
  • They weren't on the phone by the time you gunpointed them
  • There was no indication of a raid prior to you gunpointing them
  • Although the user was constantly looking back, they were walking the other direction and attempted to leave

If you disagree with our decision, you are entitled to file a staff complaint and SMT will be taking another look at your punishment.
