Punishment Type: Warning
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Medium
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Not Applicable

Your Steam Name: Ducko
Your Roleplay Name: Friedrich Schneider
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:236959680

Why were you punished?: "2.5, 3.4 - User shot police over a minor jail sentence just because the officers considered arresting their friend for murder after a long conversation with police."

Why should this appeal be considered?: My actions in rescuing Dusty were justified because the lead investigator Officer Victor Wolf has clearly articulated immediately based on hearing Dusty's testimony that he believes Dusty was not acting in self defense, while implying with the pace of the discussion that the investigation is coming to a close as he used a rushed and dismissive tone almost the entire time while involved in the situation. This preponderance held the position that the risk of 9.5 is imminent as someone lost their life and the officer articulated his position was that Dusty was not justified in the homicide that took place under the law. This makes my following actions, although swift, totally lawful under the rules of the server due to the articulated risk imposed by Officer Wolf as he made his intentions to press the serious charges apparent prompting my rescue of Dusty.

After reviewing this dispute carefully alongside others, with the evidence provided and context in question, we have reached a decision regarding this dispute.

The primary consideration in this dispute, is whether the officers choice of wording created the situation in which granted yourself appropriate reasoning to KOS. In this instance, the officer's wording and approach escalated the interaction. It's important to emphasise and note that the decision is not a reflection of malicious intent on the officers part, although rather than an assessment of how their choices affected the outcome of the interaction. Given the officer's wording and escalation created through their choice of words and communication, I, and others deem that the KOS falls within reasonable justification.

Moving forward, I would encourage officers to use investigation rooms and / or the supervisor office as a precaution for preventing situations like this, where other civilians may be listening in and act on information such as this.

The warning will be removed of your record.
