Community Manager Selection
As some of you may has seen, @Ayjay has stepped back from his role as Community Manager. We have had a discussion about how best to replace him, and have decided to have a community vote to select a new candidate. The winning candidate will receive the role for 3 months, and then there will be another selection process to decide if they should continue, or if they will be replaced by another member of the community.

The role will be slightly different from when @Ayjay held the role, but will still have the primary role acting as a point of communication between the development team and the community. They will have no administrative permissions (they will receive the equivalent of the Helper permissions).

Changes
  • Added the ability to perform animations while having fists out.
  • Made balancing changes to fishing.
    • Time between each fish depends on how many rods are nearby.
  • Made changes to the amount of XP you get when picking drugs/meth.
    • You will earn more XP if you steal drugs from rivals.
  • Added so when a vehicle gets impounded, the owner receives a SMS rather than a notification.
  • Added so property alarms within event zones are not triggered during events.

Update Log - 26/05/2020

A small update will go live tomorrow morning at the restart. There are a range of changes, but big changes are to do with weapon fire rates and added blacklists to SCAM. There have also been a range of changes to the event system since the last update log, most of which are detailed in this thread.
  • Reworked the way that the server calculates a weapon can next be fired. When firing on automatic, is now based on the last time the weapon should have been fired, rather than the time of the current frame. You can find a full explanation of this change in my discussion thread.

Good evening!

We thought it was about time to do some announced events again. Rather than selecting a random few, we'll let people vote on some. If we find a good solution to it we will also try some RP events on top of the normal ones, any suggestions here or in the Ideas & Suggestions threads are welcome! We'll be starting at 5PM UK time.
