INTRODUCTION
Hello all, welcome to the Community Spotlight for July 2021. We have a bunch of things to showcase this month ranging from community changes and discord, as-well as the usual roleplay acknowledgement and helping new player rewards. We continue to grow as a community with 750 new player connections this month and a healthy portion of those players choosing to settle in to the community, signing up to the forums and discord. We have also managed to reach booster level 3 on Discord which gives us a bunch of new extra features including a custom invite URL and very high quality voice channels.
ROLEPLAY ACKNOWLEDGEMENTA quality car show was hosted on the 22nd July, it had quite a turn out and announced three winners to the show. I know car shows are one of the more common player run events but it is really good to see especially with the work that went into this one. There are more screenshots on the Discord in the #roleplay-showcase channel. You can both claim $35,000 for your efforts and are eligible to receive the Community Spotlight trophy.
Office Casino
An honourable mention as I'm not shouting myself out but a few of us including @Double J and @Epithax created a Casino at the Office which had a few guests, including @hotdog 6 who decided to take us hostage, however despite the slight criminal issue we had the casino was pretty cool and we had great fun losing all our money whilst watching a movie on the TV.
I know you have been working very closely with Exnem to create a beautiful and unique store. It is really refreshing to see a business on the server which has a higher roleplay focus, and takes a new approach where you have to create orders. The use of the TV in your design is very interesting and looks well neat. You are eligible for the forum trophy and $75,000 to encourage you to continue your non-esport gameplay.
I am so glad you have come back and set up your piano work again. I know you've been mentioned before but I bloody love it, I really appreciate you teaching me how to play the minecraft theme on my normal non-musical keyboard. You can have $35,000 for your efforts and the forum trophy.
MOST HELPFULI'm not sure if you use the forums however I noticed you helping a couple of new players, not sure if they are friends you know from outside of PERP or not but either way it is really good to see they have someone to speak to during their time here for advice or just to play with. We have noticed you always buy a shop when you are playing, it isn't directly helping new players in the chat or anything but it does provide them a way to get some basic weaponry and for that I thank you for doing what you do. It seems like stores have died down over the years but I am glad you continue to run them. You can claim $35,000 and a forum reward.

You have been noticed for guiding two new players from scratch during low population hours. You have helped them start growing and teaching them how to play our server without breaking the rules, for that we are very grateful. This is behaviour I encourage everyone to do and it doesn't take much but I believe you deserve recognition for it. You can claim $35,000 and a forum reward.

BEST CONTENTAn absolute no brainer for me, Super gets the number one spot this month for best content/videos/pictures. He has produced an SFM Render for the PERPHeads Discord, I think it represents PERP quite nicely in one photo and is going to do wonders at attracting new people to the community. Quality work really impressed. You can claim $50,000 and a forum trophy.
DISCORD CHANGESSo this really excites me because I have really gotten into the discord recently. I have spent literally hours making the server look prettier and more functional, so much that I wanted to share it with you all. The new front page looks very snazzy with information on rules, joining instructions, link to help.perpheads and the most important new feature being a notifications preferences section. You can select what kind of notifications you would like from official posts, these are filtered into Community Announcements, Server Events, Giveaways & Featured Content. Any minor announcements you may not receive a tag at all but for most you should receive a tag if you are subscribed to that notification preference.#
If you have boosted the server you will also be eligible to receive a personal channel which you will have admin rights on, this means you can change whatever you like about it including the name and who has access to your channel. Every voice channel that is joined will now also have a temporary text channel generated near it where only the people that are in the channel can view content.
You will also find that any new threads created on the forums will automatically be posted in the #general section of the Discord every 10 minutes. Finally, as the player recommendations section has become a bit dead, you can now showcase good roleplay or behaviour in the #roleplay-showcase channel. We will look at this channel when deciding who to feature in the next community spotlight.
FRIEND REFERRALSA short reminder of the last post I made in News & Announcements, you can now submit referrals for anybody that hasn't yet connected to the server to receive in-game rewards ranging from $35,000 to $500,000.

DEVELOPMENT & CLOSING NOTESI would like to start this portion of the spotlight by giving my personal thanks to everyone that has made me feel welcome and useful in the role of community manager since Ethan stepped down. I am conscious of all of your views on how the community is being run and am always open to new ideas and suggestions. Anybody that has needed me for anything I believe will agree that I am always contactable and totally open & honest with you all. Development wise, I have a few personally requested changes that will be coming soon in the next update, these changes will allow me to run better roleplay events, big thanks to @Madda for taking over in assisting me with any CM related development changes since Samuel left.
The above image is an among us event I hosted today, if you have any of these custom event ideas you think we can try to run then give me a shout and we will try to implement them. We have a very exciting new long-term event/minigame in the works which will last over several days or weeks and could cause some tasty battles between organisations. Anyway, this concludes this months Community Spotlight, as always keep submitting anything you believe should feature in the next one.
