i am sure a considerable amount of players have countered this kind of bans.
TLDR: You can't kill cops if you are forestgrowing and they see your drugs because "

8.3 Possession of Restricted Substances with Intent to Produce" is 4 years max.​

but you can kill cops if they are raiding your house after seeing your drugs through the window.

Yes and no, the complex rules make it hard to distinguish what is allowed and what isn't, which leads to accidental rule breaks and bans/warnings. I have had to ask admins countless times via F6 what is allowed and what isn't. The rules are there to protect the players experience and keep the server as high of a role play server you can get although some rules do have fine lines and make this slightly more difficult to actually enjoy RP in certain situations, as I have had in my head "I don't want to break a rule" or "Is this breaking rules?".

Outside your house, is outside your property and publicly accessible, I imagine (I could be wrong here) that killing a civilian to protect outdoor drugs is more acceptable rather than PD. Protecting your property and drugs = worthwhile reason to risk your life (Alot of money) while outside, it is literally only your drugs and police can't prove those drugs are yours and can't exactly search you for drugs/weapons so there is less risk. I don't actually know the specifics on this, this is just based off "logical" thought.

There is a easy way to not get banned without ever needing to read a rule, you just need to consider other players feelings

If a cop raids my house should he expect to get shot and potentially wait out a 5min waiting screen?

Is getting shot for walking through the forest the same thing? Would you be mad if it happened to you? Would you f6 it? If so dont do it.

growing drugs in your property is different because you're putting in the effort to hide what you are doing thus making it reasonable for you to actually fight and protect your stuff, growing outside is probably borderline 3.4 because you're risking your freedom from imprisonment from barely hiding your drugs but it's still allowed to do

that's exactly what i'm trying to say. How is it fun, and a game, if you are constantly thinking about the rules.
i'm not saying rules shouldn't be exercised, they are crucial. But players should be good if the mistake they did is not easily noticable beforehand.
while rules are good, staff should be chill about ify situations.
not talking about the obvious rulebreaks.

i wonder the number of players who can manage not to break any rules. How many people are there with 1 week+ play time and has 0 warnings, bans.
i also wonder the ratio of players who hasn't gotten a ban to the players that got banned/warned minimum 3 times in their time in the server

This is one of the better replies in this thread and it is completely slept on. If I accidentally stumble on your drugs just going about my day, I shouldn't have to eat shit for it and stare at a black screen.

If every player player stopped to consider if what they are doing is reasonable and fun/fair for the person they are engaging with, there would be fewer punishments.

Might I also add that many of us take into account the degree of harm, as well as how reasonable an (incorrect) assumption might be given the context of a situation wherein a rule break has occurred, and punish accordingly. Someone who is acting in good faith who accidentally breaks the rules is far less likely to get a punishment than someone who's done something entirely for their own benefit or amusement, at the cost of somebody else's

It's quite normal that the vast majoraty of the players don't have an absolute clean record, specially from their new player times. New players are bound to fuck up and the warnings exist specifically for that reason, so they can learn without having to be banned for something they probably weren't even aware of.
Roleplaying restricts you from doing a lot of certain things you'd consider normal from a video game and it's completely reasonable to have a learning curve from it.

I got a few questions:
1- If a ban like this didn't given before, and there is no point of reference, do you think every staff would say the same thing as you? or would some staff consider this as a reasonable act? If it's not so clear that every staff thinks the same, then how is it not a burden on the shoulders of a regular player to think this much in detail.
I bet you can't play the game as a crim and not get banned ever if you even thought through your actions. Most of the time things escalate so fast you don't even time to consider your actions before you do it.

2- If every player stopped and thought through every action they did, how is it fun? is this a game we should enjoy or a game that we are constantly thinking and stressing about the rules? i'm not saying this for obvious rule breaks but there are tons of occasions even if you thought through it you could still conclude a different view than staff.
If someone is pulling a gun under direct and clear gunpoint, good, ban him.
If a person raiding, and alarm is going off and the cops are rushing you, and you kill someone unarmed, don't punish that person. Things escalate fast and it's humane to do things like that with the heat of the moment. (if you have a bad record you can still get a pretty long ban for a humane mistake like this)
