Suggestion Topic: 3.12 Mayoral Assassination
Suggestion Description: Move the rule Mayoral assassination to Section 5: Criminal Activity Rules

Instead of 3.12, it should be 5.7 Mayoral Assassination.

Why should this be added?:
Assassinating the mayor is a criminal activity; in the guide, it is also listed under "Crime and Combat." this will make it easier to navigate.

I would also like to add that in the current Mayoral Assassination rule, there is no reference to the guide. It would be nice if this could be added to the rule.

What negatives could this have?:
None that I can think of.

Removing Rule 3.12 would cause all subsequent rules to shift up one position, which could lead to confusion when referencing past infractions in a player's ban history. For instance, a rulebreak previously listed as 3.18 - "storages" would now appear under 3.17, creating inconsistencies unless rule 3.12 is replaced with a different rule or a new rule completely

A simple solution would be to move Rule 3.12 – 'Mayor Assassination' – to Section 5 as Rule 5.7. This would allow us to maintain the existing numbering in Section 3 by replacing 3.12 with the final rule in Section 3 (e.g., 3.21 - Staying In Character), but I just don't think it's worth the hassle icl

At the moment, Rule 3.12 is splitting up Rule 3.11 (Placing Drugs) and Rule 3.13 (Harvesting Drugs). Moving Rule 3.13 to take the place of 3.12 would place the two drug-related rules directly next to each other, which I believe would look more organized.

I understand the concerns about referencing past infractions. I personally don’t have the same level of experience as you do in server moderation, so I can’t make a definitive statement on the issue.

When we shortened and removed a lot of rules, we wanted to keep the numbers of the "important" rules the same where possible, which is why the numbering on some might be a little awkward... 3.12 is among the ones we wanted to keep the same so that old ban/warning reasons can be understood quickly without having to consult the legacy rules

Okay, that makes sense. I understand that some rules are fixed in a way that prevents changes due to administrative structure or the need to maintain for past infractions.

I did notice that Rule 3.12 currently separates Rule 3.11 (Placing Drugs) and Rule 3.13 (Harvesting Drugs), which feels a bit out of order. It might be worth considering a small adjustment for better flow, for example, switching Rule 3.13 with 3.10, or switching 3.11 for 3.14.

I remember you and Acerius were previously working on revising the rules, though I'm not sure if that's still ongoing. Just thought I’d mention this in case it’s something worth revisiting in future updates.
