Suggestion Title: Traffic Wand/Stop Signal
Suggestion Description: It would be nice to see a tool that could be used by RTO's or even officers to help stop or make it clear to vehicles they are being stopped for a traffic control or violation.

Currently there are a lot of situations where drivers did not notice, hear or have enough time to stop as there was no dead clear signal to do so, since there is no yelling distance you cant let them know in time either.

This would in my opinion help improve roleplay and enhance traffic control operations.

Why should this be added?:
- Safer for Officers
- Makes it more clear to drivers they are being stopped.
- Easy to add (I think)
- More enhanced roleplay situations.

What negatives could this have?:
- Will only really be used for the beforementioned situations.
- has to be developed

What problem would this suggestion solve?: - Alerting drivers that they are being stopped in time.
- More visibility for RTO's so they dont get pancaked.
- not sure if its an major problem in itself though.

I'm confused, how would you use this from a moving car?
If this is meant to be used on the ground, why not use the barricades?

You could make the argument that this could be used on a car that may be inadvertently fleeing but at that point it may just be better to drive right behind them as if they are truly fleeing it gives you a chance to attempt a pit

I may also be misunderstanding this post and considering I am dumb this is highly possible

It would be handheld, maybe my point was off sorry

Basically I meant you hold it and it helps make it clear you are being stopped and is easier to spot then wait til you are in voice range

Its just a handheld red light basically

Traffic Wands are used to usually guide traffic in case of accidents, road work or non-working traffic lights. This would have to be accompanied by some form of animations to direct.

The Stop Light is used by police officers to indicate to oncoming cars that they need to slow down and stop, most often for checkpoints or vehicle search/routine stops.

Generally in the US we have a officer using there cruiser or hand signals to direct traffic, also sometimes flares, never seen that before

I wouldn't mind coding the SWEP but someone needs to model it

LEGENDS!!!

Also to be fair I think this should be given to patrol as well! It's a generic police tool and nice for all!!!

Also for some info

The small cone like one is a static red or Orange light

The round one has a reflex around it and in the middle it emits a red blinking light. Ill grab mine tomorrow and film it in action so tou see how it works

Anyone should be able to craft one really, it's a pretty generic tool. Way more likely for someone like roadcrew to use it over police.
The wands can blink and strobe too, there's no universal standard afaik.

Although this is a nice idea I don't really see a good use for it in the world of "Perpheads". This would only be useful for intersection road traffic incidents and we don't often have them occur. Signage Placement and the "Newer Diversion Signs" In my opinion are useful enough and people just need to use them more often with of course Police Broadcasts and Vehicle Diversion Displays.

It would look good but its not very practical considering what I said above.

So, the traffic wand (bottom picture) is used for accidents and directing traffic yes.

The top one which is the stop signal is used for traffic controls such as speed traps, dui checkponts, etc and is used to signal drivers to stop. This would improve safety and ability to stop people as a lot of the time people cant hear us until its too late ebcause of the voice ranges.

It doesn't really seem practical though for the roads we have in Perpheads, Plus you have to include half the knobheads who go 100+
I think it'd be practical where it would be mostly used. i.e business street and suburbs area. I know vehicles go 100+, and that will happen anyways. This tool will either way help us stop or warn even drivers going 100+ like a knob imo atleast

Just to throw the idea in there a better “stop” hand signal emote that can be used whilst moving would be handy too. Or even a couple of traffic control related hand signal emotes
