Update Log 01/04/2025

Television Overhaul: Bigger, Better, More Control!

A highly requested update to the in-game television system has been implemented, adding new functionality for improved video playback:
  • YouTube Playlists: Players can now load entire YouTube playlists at once, up to a maximum of 25 videos per playlist (this limit may change in the future).
  • Queue System: Videos can be queued for seamless, continuous playback.
  • Shuffle & Repeat: Playlists can be shuffled, and individual videos can be set to repeat.
  • Skip Functionality: Players can manually skip videos in the queue.
This update includes a new UI interface, designed for improved navigation and ease of use:

New Fire Department Truck

Below is a new brush/rescue truck for the FD, a very long awaited update that I have been eager to release, finally starting to refresh the Fire Department vehicles as they have had little to no changes over the years.

I hope to release more content for the FD in the future!

The Vehicle Overhaul

Myself and @Collier have been working on fixing a vast range of issues with vehicles, ranging from model issues, handling issues and various minor and major issues that has been brought to our attention.

Below is some of the many vehicles updated within this update.

We are still looking for broken vehicles as mentioned by @rogue in the recent itinerary, so please feel free to message myself to report any vehicle issues you have found.

This is a painstaking process with nearly every vehicle having some minor issue, so please bear with me as I work through what is achievable and what might not be.

  • Ferrari 458 Spider - Wheel texture fix
  • BMW 340i - Various panel gap fixes, most are repaired.
  • Tesla Model S - Multiple panel gap fixes & smoothing fixes.
  • Bugatti Veyron SS - New carbon fibre texture & More colorable panels as found on a real SS.
  • New VW Beetle Convertible - Back half of steering wheel fixed remodeled as it was missing.
  • Mclaren F1 - Handling fixes.
  • Land Rover 2012 - Panel gap on trunk fixed.
  • Vandoor Delivery van - Rear door now visible both ways and inside no longer shows vehicles skin.
  • Merc SLR - Colorable badges + remodelled McLaren Badge on wings.

New animation

@Lelios1 has done an amazing job and made us a new animation that will definitely not be overused....

Rule 3.3 - Realistic Actions

To improve consistency in enforcing Rule 3.3 - Realistic Actions, we are introducing automated mechanics to regulate unrealistic movement. This rule has previously led to varying interpretations and sanctions, so these changes aim to create a more objective enforcement method.

For now, the following adjustments have been made:
  • Reload Movement Penalty: Players move 50% slower while reloading a weapon.
  • Sprint + Jump Adjustment: If a player sprints and jumps while holding a weapon in attack stance, the weapon will automatically switch to passive stance.
These changes are not intended to drastically impact gameplay but rather to discourage unrealistic movement without making movement feel too restrictive. We will monitor the effects and make adjustments as needed.

Other Changes
  • Added Small Concrete Barrier base defence

  • Added new "Silver" UI skin
  • Fixed description for the Bailout policy
  • A new mechanism has been implemented to automatically detect and correct data corruption within the database.
  • Commas have been added to organization scores to improve readability.
  • The buddies menu (F4) can no longer be opened when dead and/or restrained
  • Heavy TFU now have a body camera, following suit with the rest of the PD.

  • Animations are now properly played on the server, meaning player's hitboxes follow the movement
  • The reflex sight can now be used on the SG550
  • Lowered price for pistol and rifle flashlights
  • Items no longer get destroyed by fire
  • Fixed having to gear into Heavy TFU to equip Light Gear.
  • Fixed TFU Training counting as TFU on duty.

A special thanks to everyone involved in these updates: @Maia @Fredy @Bolli @rogue @peeps @GP @Draxen @Carrot @Sindarin @Lelios1

I would love to see how this develops further. @Collier and I have always been of the opinion that 3.3 should be enforced via game mechanics rather than staff and the sooner we can drop 3.3, the better.

one of the Range Rovers just has a completely missing segment when you look into the boot from the rear window. (2012 i think)

Finally no more RDM because someone decides my song played long enough for them to put theirs! Put it in the queue mf

THE sprint and jump I get, but could the penalty for reloading not be so bad?
It would be fair if shift sprint and alt sprint would be reduced but regular walking speed not so much.
And has the fact that stamina already reduces speed when at low stamina been taken into consideration?

It's fixed, I added this on the list above as it's quite a common one, there is more that has been fixed in this update, total of about 15 vehicles this update
