Server Queue System - Feedback Wanted!

this seems to be a hot take but I am actually for the queue monetization. Let me explain..

I understand queue being about effort instead of ease of access is favorable for some. While others might prefer the ease of access.

My thoughts are pertaining to a few key points surrounding the idea of monetization:

1) Developers and management are working to maintain this operation. Monetization rewards them for that work without upsetting a balance in the game itself but the few members who love the game and want to support it through monetary means rather than taking up a staff position.

2) Queue is nowhere near as crazy as FIVEM. FiveM servers can go up crazy numbers, but PERPHeads is a very niche thing that long queue waits are non-issue.

3) Those who own priority will probably have premium. This double-stacked commitment will deter even more people from breaking rules because there is even more risk to such misconduct.

4) This opens a door for other forms of priority as a question too.

* Priority can be given out to good roleplayers too, not just those with fat pockets or the ability to staff.
* Priority for cops who clock in a lot of hours regularly or hold a certain rank (Supervisor+).

These selective forms of prio are tangible rewards that incentivize people to contribute to the community, which are things that successful FiveM communities already do. I am aware FiveM is not PERPHeads, and I say this with a grain of salt because logically it looks sound as a beneficial addition.

Anyone that prefers spamming enter is a psychopath and needs to spam enter into a mental asylum.

In what world do people prefer being stuck at their PC holding enter over simply waiting while doing something else?
I can finally do my laundry or feed my cat while I wait to join perp...
Its much faster to get in with Enter spam than it is now.

Once the major bugs found yesterday are fixed and we do a longer test of the system (most likely a few weeks), we will monitor the server's statistics and queue statistics to see if it does provide better server engagement from both new players and returning players, as well as general feedback and sentiment. We will make a decision from there on whether we keep the system.

As said in the post, the goal is to make getting into the server a smoother and more fair experience. There will be some people who end up waiting slightly longer with a queue than spamming enter, but the hope is that for the majority of people, this will be a better experience.

Spamming enter is advantageous to those with better pings. It also negatively effects new players who don't know the trick and will give up after one or two attempts.
If spamming enter is with better ping when I myself have high ping on the server than 70% of the server, before finding the trick of holding enter it was still much faster than the queue system

We are yet to know this. Yesterday was not a proper test of queue speeds. It was the first time we turned it on properly, and we uncovered major bugs that meant significant delays in wait time. A longer testing period is needed to know actual average wait times.

Tbf whenever the server if full I just put a lighter on enter and hold it down with my headset then go do something else, I’ve come back a handful of times either been in the server or kicked from being afk, I think the queue system is a much better way
