The PLPD is still a joke

Yellow! PLPD main guy here! Imo I think PD is op as it is but nobody acknowledges it. If people on the radio chat coordinated and actually prepare a plan most of the time PD would have better chance! Im a pistol cop and I hate losing gun fight to a AK-47 as much as the next guy. But if cops ACTUALLY did their job properly and coordinated and not just run and gun inside a building then every raid or any fucking situation would go smooth. And also about the PD raid thing. I think its pure bullshit when people can yell from jail cells and people in the pd lobby can hear it (didnt fucking know that until reading this thread). But the only fix is that the place needs to be moved or do some text reduction. I know gagging is allowed but if the dmg is already done then its pointless. And a cooldown for PD raid should be at least considered.

My only suggestion to PD to make it more fun or even make other cops learn how to do their JOB properly. Why not do a training session on each situation? I KNOW it is possible. Make an annoucement there is gonna be a training session about idfk: RAID SITUATIONS (counter raid/warrant raid), PD RAID SITUATIONS, CAR CHASE SITUATION etc.. I think it would help the PD A LOT.

I think PD is boring only if you dont have a competent officers on duty and this suggestion might help it.

write me a sum of what is about make it less then 30words
This is what ChatGPT had to say;

Police gameplay has become repetitive, raid-heavy PvP with low staffing, poor balance, and little meaningful roleplay, leaving officers burned out, demoralized, and considering quitting despite enjoying investigative work.

It’s refreshing to see the truth being spoken.

I also particularly enjoyed this part of the post

At the end of the day nothing is going to change. Crim mains are gonna keep doing what they do and scream “PD OP just communicate better and PD have free guns” while they PD wipe nonstop 24/7 and create absolutely abhorrent montages that should be banned. SMT claims they want more RP stuff to happen but I’ve seen shitty montages on the monthly update that’s posted every month. Change starts at the top but that isn’t going to happen.

In order to even have any enjoyment on PD you have to downright ignore every single shootout just to have a chance to even play the game and even then it’s a toss up if the traffic stop ends in a shooting which happens. Crim mains wanted for 7+ year crimes drive like fucking maniacs around the city and when they get lit up by PD it’s instant shot dead enjoy doing nothing for a bit time. It’s exhausting and annoying. I get on here to play a game not spend more then half my time doomscrolling because the city has more shootings then the city of Chicago.

Hello caveric, as a fellow crim main on this server one of my top things to do on this server is snipe RTU's cars and disable them whilst they're in pursuits or setting speed traps on business junctions  :nailbiting: maybe we can find a solution that allows both jobs to coexist have a good day mr cavie

Oh yeah I trust the IA department heavily they've always been truthful. The issue is the person who makes the IA never gets punished, but that would also deter people from making proper ones so its one of those hard to solve issues. I've just never seen like... someone who makes 10 malicious IA's as they just use it to hurt cops vs actual reasons getting punished that was my complaint.
People who continually make fraudulent or petty IAs get banned from making more

To add to this, we have at times disabled accounts for people who make a bunch of malicious or intentionally frivolous IAs. Other times, we have issued other kinds of disciplinary action, usually in the form of regular infractions. It's happening, it's just not advertised when we do it, but we certainly do it.

no crim mains = absolutely fucking nothing for cops to do apart from ticketing people for going through a stop sign

I can assure you that the Professional Standards Department and it's subsidiaries are possibly the most maturely run, sensible divisions in the entire PD. If a complaint seems petty or malicious, it is usually recognised and taken into account if the complaint is sustained and disciplinary action is issued.
I have never understood why all efforts into police roleplay have, for the past couple of years, have been put into a virtual internal affairs department that is universally hated by criminals and police officers alike? It's like all the energy of roleplay has been sucked out of the actual server and has been transferred into a website instead. I made this reference a couple of times now but for every fart and a whip you need to explain yourself to IA and every thorough interaction you even attempt to do with some sweaty olafmeister larp results in an internal affairs "investigation" or the threat of one. Seriously, the complaint process in perp is more thorough and in-depth than an average real life police department. Why the fuck would i even bother to roleplay at that point, when i get paid to receive internal affairs complaints in my real career!

The whole disciplinary action thing is a farce anyways, because you only need to be caught and face some form of disciplinary action which I've never found to be in proportion to whatever violation has been committed., where as others get lucky.

I've been a cop main on the server for over ten years and I do find it funny how the criminal side of the server is to blame for the lack of roleplay yet 'the PLPD' is one of the main contributors. Officers ALT run from building to building, die, respawn, shoot, die again, press a couple panic buttons. This cycle repeats until some criminals who perish in their own raid, gear up in TFU gear to drop an L on another org and go off duty. Order is then temporarily restored until the cycle begins.

New officers get thrown a handbook in their face which nobody reads besides needing to pass an awful application process which only exists to create cool rolls and ranks and for the sake of look we have a really realistic fancy application proces that will take you two weeks to pass! I've never seen an actual training, or seen an officer actually be trained. Does anyone ever use the police radio properly? Does anyone actually take command? Does anyone ask officer Dick Trickle who just passed their silly application to come for a ride along to show them the ropes? No, you call them a retard, tell them to shut the fuck up on the police radio and issue them a reprimand the second you've reached your breaking point. Which, I've learned, is very easy to hit for some people.

There is absolutely no incentive to properly roleplay as a police officer and the department hoisted their own petard creating a massive internal bureaucracy. Why bother, when you can just spam left click, die for that instant dopamine?

If i were to receive a magic wand to make a few critical changes to the police department I would be able to do fuck all, because the PD and the server suffers from a cultural issue. Nothing and nobody is being prevented to properly roleplay. But making the police force a little less of a hassle to partake in would be of help and maybe the punishment of dying could be altered so there are incentives to survive so roleplay could continue instead of it ending after a black screen.

Oh, and fully get rid of the internal affairs system and handle things in-game.

EDIT: Credit where credit's due, i just logged into plpd.online and read an announcement of 'field training officers' posted three days ago. I sincerely hope this isn't a reskinned version of a observation report request form.

What have you done to properly coordinate an incident and to make officers more competent? Because if the answer to those two questions are "nothing" then you're a contributor to the problem you're describing.

One of the biggest problems is just the amount overall a new officer needs to read, I offered to help the required people rewrite and simplify it all but was just ghosted after a while
There is absolutely no incentive to properly roleplay as a police officer and the department hoisted their own petard creating a massive internal bureaucracy
When I was expected to log as much or more hours then my real life job to compete with people who have no life for a position, I just gave up because that isn't fun or interesting, the PLPD and therefore a huge aspect of the server just seems to exist so senior PLPD members can pat themselves on the back and promote their friends, nothing exists on this server for people to play and just have fun.

Was a massive kick in the teeth when I'm denied for said roles when I "Don't have enough hours" and I look at one of the current chiefs and at the time when I complained they had maybe ten hours on duty across 5 months and nothing was done about it. If I don't have time to do OR's, IAs and TFU training sessions for one month or log my required hours I'd be demoted almost instantly...

As a former Recruit Tactical Firearms Officer (RTFO) and former Senior Officer (SO) I can make the claim that there should be more RTU slots to combat these disgusting pvpers and each cop should hit a quota of a 2 hour traffic stop per day
