Perpheads Halloween Event 2026

Event: Patient Zero (Story)

(If you wish to skip to the information click here)

It started like any other night in the City of Paralake. The Bazaar, full of the late-night shoppers, browsing the variety of goods held within the shops. The soft sizzling of burger patties coming from McUwes. A Lucia’s store clerk folding the same t-shirt for the fifteenth time. That same annoying police officer giving another lecture about the “legal transportation of weapons” to a frustrated shopper. It feels like any other night in the business district.

Then the lights flicker.

It wasn’t a blackout but a sudden drop of power that left the normal illuminations dimmed. Then the officer’s radio sparks to life, not the usual bank robbery callout from Dispatch but a panicked transmission from suburbs. “I need back-up immediately at Suburbs, Code 3. The suspects are… they’re…” BANG BANG! Gunshots fill the airways, then a gut-wrenching scream from the dying officer, then a sound that didn’t belong in Paralake: a wet, guttural scream, and then finally static. The officer’s face says it all, something isn’t right at all.

Within minutes, the TVs scattered through Bazaar cut from their usual music channels to an emergency announcement issued by City Hall and the PLPD. The usual chatter and commerce grinds to a halt, everyone’s eyes now fixated to a screen as a monotone, robotic voice fills the venue.

“This is a message from the Paralake Emergency Management Agency. The Paralake Medical institute has confirmed reports of an unidentified viral outbreak affecting multiple areas across the city. All residents are urged to recognise and report early symptoms of infections which include: blurred vision, persistent coughing, intense hunger, uncontrollable anger, and noticeable external bleeding. Secure your homes by locking all windows and doors. And do not attempt to approach or communicate with infected individuals. Await further instructions from the local authorities. Updates will be provided as new information will become available. Do not panic. Stay calm. And may god save us all.”

As the announcement ends and starts to repeat, time stands still for a moment. Everyone exchanges looks until chaos finally erupts. Scrambling footsteps, screams, panic takes hold. The lone police officer tries to calm the situation to no avail. Screeching of car tyres can be heard as people race home to their friends and families.

Now, an eerie fog sweeps in off the coast, swallowing the streets whole. Cars wrecked with emergency lights blinking, corpses rising from where they once lay. The city is more than dangerous tonight; it’s hell on earth. Survivors, scurrying to their next location to hold out, barricading themselves off from the creatures outside. And as the darkness settles across the city, one question remains for those still fighting, still breathing, and still alive:

Will you survive until help arrives, or will you become another shambling corpse in the horde?

Event Information

It's that time of the year again for our annual patient zero event - a server-wide zombie event where you will need to survive as long as possible, fighting off hordes of zombies that have taken over the city. So what do you need to know before the chaos unfolds?

General Information

The event will be taking place on 30th October, 31st October, and 1st November starting 7-8pm GMT.
  • As soon as you hear the siren and warning message on the radio and TV's - The event starts!
  • To gear up and use weapons to protect yourself, access the trunk of any vehicle in-game to pick your weapon. (Press T)
  • Protect your vehicles! They are fragile and should not be used for ramming. Make sure you bring wrenches!
  • Use the /event chat to coordinate and communicate with your team. (CET and zombies have separate chats.)
  • Use medical resources wisely and use the green antidote when you're infected.
  • Watch out for yellow blood! It’s a warning sign!
  • Stay tuned for broadcasts about gear, weapons, antidotes, and hordes!

Event Rules:

  • Do not exploit any game mechanics to avoid being turned into a zombie.
  • Do not climb or hide in areas that are difficult to reach.
  • Do not team-kill or grief other players such as, destroying other people's bases or vehicles.
  • Avoid doing things that would ruin the experience of others.
Building rules will be explained more in-depth in the next section. Failure to follow the rules set out in the past will result in punishments being issued (Bans or warnings).

Event Building Rules:

To keep the event fair and enjoyable for all, please follow these building rules:
  • You may use any props to create your defences however, all builds must allow for players to freely enter and exit without needing to move props.
  • Roof builds must include a clear and accessible way for players to go up and down - no blocked or one-way routes.
  • Indoor defences cannot block all doors or fully seal off access to buildings. Players must always have a way to get in and get out.
  • Navigation should be smooth - bases that require excessive crouching or jumpoing to move through are not permitted
  • Mazes - to preserve the fun for all, mazes that are extremely troublesome to navigate will be removed. This is up to staff discretion.
  • All structures must follow the laws of physics and must be realistic. Floating or unsupported builds, such as sky-bases, are not permitted.

Longest surviving players will receive a reward depending on their placement:
  • 1st Place: $300,000 + 1 Token
  • 2nd Place: $150,000 + 1 Token
  • 3rd Place $100,000 + 1 Token
Destroying a zombie spawner grants you $25,000 on it's destruction.

Event FAQs

Can anyone access my car trunk even if they don’t have keys?
Not exactly. Players can use your trunk to gear up, but they cannot access your stored items unless you’ve given them trunk access through the buddies menu.

I was on a job or joined the server after the event started — can I still join?
Yes, of course! Simply use the /joinevent command to enter the event.
If you wish to leave, use /leaveevent.
However, if more than 10 minutes have passed since the event began, you will still be able to participate for fun, but you won’t be eligible for the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place rewards.

I don’t have many props to build with — can I get help?
Yes! You can create a report (f6) requesting temporary building materials and assistance if required.
We recommend teaming up with others to increase your prop limit. Large individual prop extensions will not be provided.

Do I have to use my own weapons? Will I lose my guns if I die?
It’s not recommended to use your personal weapons.
You’ll be provided with a variety of event weapons, attachments, and unlimited ammo during the event.
Any personal items or weapons you have equipped will drop upon death, so make good use of the provided event gear instead.

Zombies raided my house and took my drugs — will I get refunded?
Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for any losses during this event.
Since this is a server-wide scenario, all in-game risks apply.
If you prefer not to participate, we recommend leaving the server during the event to avoid potential losses.

My screen is blurry — how do I fix it?
That means you’ve been infected, and the virus is spreading.
You’ll need to find and consume an antidote quickly before the infection fully takes over and you turn into a zombie.

Do I have to build a base?
No, base building is optional.
You can choose to stay mobile, hide, or team up with others instead.
Just make sure your location remains accessible to other players and doesn’t violate event building rules.

Disclaimer

This is a server-wide event, meaning you're part of the action once you join the server.

Be aware that you can be infected at any time! Growing drugs and other activities are at your own risk, as zombies may raid your property.

Any losses you experience due to dying during the event will not be refunded, so make sure you join the event to utilize the event weapons.

Losses due to carelessness are your responsibility!

In all my years of playing PERPHeads, I have never been around for an Halloween event! Can't wait to experience it for the first time!

Good to see mazes being banned and being enforced via staff discretion. Last year was not fun when I volunteered to be patient zero and Foundry had the biggest and winding maze that didn't make it fair at all.
