Why Should This Player Be Punished: The officer would have realistically died in this situation, the officer drove at an incredibly high speed into another vehicle which caused himself and his passengers unnecessary harm.

@Google Chrome @Lenny.
I was in the car and I my self can say that you were going to a really high speed crashing into a wall that got you killed @Chase

I was involved in the general situation and I was Chases partner so I would like to provide some useful information that would hopefully turn the tides on this action request, lets begin. The way I see this from the video provided, he was heading down Harbor Lane and he could have either

A - Attempted to drive past the Porsche parked in the middle of the road and gotten his car lit up with 7.62x39mm bullets which at that range are supersonic and bound to penetrate the vehicle and kill him

OR

B - Use his dodge charger as a method of lethal force and apply it to this situation where he has two criminals shooting at him with Assault Rifles and try to eliminate the immediate threat to his life.

I can see where you are coming from however I believe that Chase amongst many other Officers would have done the same thing using option B ESPECIALLY because the police issued vehicles are most certainly built for it. I am not sure whether he died due to crashing into a wall but I am going to assume that your friend(s) lit up his car which ejected his corpse from the vehicle; logs will confirm. Yes, it was a somewhat high speed however you need to come to realize that the Dodge Charger is equipped with a Police Bullbar guarding the Chasis and allows the vehicle to be used as a battering ram for both Structures AND Vehicles. The positioning of the Porsche in the road is especially important as he used his bullbar to ram it to the side from the right side of the vehicle which is in fact one of the weakest structural points of a vehicle if you would like to look up the "Crumple zone". Officers do this in real life all the time, they have tools such as the bullbar which decreases collision damage by an insane amount and has saved many lives whilst also guarding the internal structure of the vehicle in question hence why I believe Chase used the appropriate amount of force and utilized his police equipment to increase his chances of survival.

I am sure that if you do some research on bullbars and the Crumple zone you will change your perspective on Chase's actions completely.

Here's a nice chart I found on plpd.online :)

C- hiding and calling for help and not drive like idiot and risk his own life and the passenger lifes

He edited my post in the quote function so click the read more to see his "Option C"

The problem with this was that there was shots fired at the top of the street due to @Sossa running an officer over and trying to evade iirc (My amazing road block was too good for his Zonda) which is really the only motive that Chase could have possibly had to be going the opposite way. It would have been even worse for him to be sandwiched in the middle of the street with two opposing forces on each end.

Not involved but been in very similar situations.

When the car is getting shot up, the car isnt gonna instantly stop, its gonna slow down, but slowly, either way your gonna get hit so. What aquaa posted is true with the diagram. You were using firearms which is deadly, Chase doing that is a way to save lives of others.

there was a free space in the right of the car he can drive from there but he chose to run over so it his problam and he brake 3.4

but he didnt do that he chose to risk his own life and the passenger life

In my first reply I already explained why it isn't as risky as you two think it is and he was caught in a sticky situation with a suspect in the car so it isn't really his fault.

As @Aquaa appropriately pointed out regarding bullbars and vehicle crumple zones, the Dodge Charger is equipped with a bullbar and from the way the incident has turned out based off the video, it does appear that Chase was utilising the car as a weapon within server rules in terms of ramming what realistically would be the structurally weakest part of the Porsche in order to neutralise shooters and maximise his chances of survival - given how Chase was already driving down at high speeds as well as two people already shooting at him.
