Your version of the rule:
In order to help preserve gameplay, sexual acts may not be role-played or displayed in a public setting. All players involved must consent to any acts (consent may be given either in character, or out of character). If a player feels uncomfortable about any sexual acts, they may request that they stopped in LOOC, and this sexual role-play must not continue.



It is also not allowed to display pornographic content of any sort on TVs.
Additionally Minors {under the age of 18} may not engage in sexual roleplay

Why do you believe this rule should be Added/Edited:because why should 14 13 year olds be allowed to fuck the fuck outa someone in a game its just kinda mad
and also is a bit weird and this would also increase safe guarding for minors

It's stupid sexual roleplay isn't banned out right. It's a gmod cops v robbers server and it's so unnecessary it is unreal, if they're horny they can go to pornhub there is literally no need to be doing this between any ages on this specific gmod server. This can literally bring out the sexual desires of a pedophile to target young children in the gamemode.

i know right even if its a video game it can still as you said enable pedophiles sexual urges and the fact people are disaproving of a rule to stop people sexually roleplaying with Minors is worrying

Regardless of how enforceable it is, this offers a route of protection for minors from weirdos. I’m on the boat of banning erp outright because if you’re sad and horny enough to be doing it on gmod you’re probably going to be a school shooter or a nonce.

You should either ban this completly or don't do anything at all. People lie about their age, as well as people can't know how old everyone in this community is. Currently ERP should be stopped when one of the involved parties let you know they don't feel comfortable. So banning it only for minors won't change much, will be very hard to enforce this. That's why you should just ban it completly or leave the rule as it is.

I am going to go ahead and close this thread as Community Management, Senior Administration and TinySlayer had literally discussed this suggestion the day before you made it coincidentally. We had silently added the consent bit but didn’t want to make a big deal so as to avoid any edge lords trying to push the rule.

We discussed this exact addition and decided it was not a viable solution as many have pointed out in this thread. This is due to the fact; people lie, age of consent differs in country to country and it is also necessary to define what constitutes “ERP” and therefor what would need consent.

Therefor we decided that the rule was either to stay as it was with the consent addition or removed entirely. We have now decided that in order to protect the minor population in the community that it will now be forbidden and rule 2.8 will be updated to reflect this.

You are free to make another rule discussion if you wish for this change to be reverted, however please follow the updated wording of 2.8.
