Hello,

I’ve recently bought a 3D printer and was just wondering if there any of you who have one currently or have had one in the past.

- What kind of stuff did you print?
- What was your favorite print?
- Did you ever use it for business instead of a hobby? What kind of stuff did you sell?
- What printer & filament did you use?

This is the one I purchased:

I’m just interested in hearing about your general experiences if you have had one - ty :)

Hello I have been summoned.

I am the 3d print man.

The printer you have purchased leaves some to be desired shall we say, no we'll say it, its hot garbage. Don't get me wrong its workable but you'll need to slow that bitch down to get any decent quality prints because ultimately it's a bed slinger and they're not great for high speed printing, if you can cope with slow and steady it'll do the job.
The Ankermake slicer is a pile of shit so just switch to the Prusa Slicer found here and spend a few years homing that bitch in and the quality should be decent.
I've printed a lot of random shit my favourite is here but it's going to cost like £80 in filament alone with the booster pack addon. You can find lots of random models to print but my most useable have been things like this to make a big tool cupboard I'm still working on.
As I said, switch to prusa slicer and find models on https://makerworld.com/ as they seem to be a lot more updated

Printing models to resell can be difficult, like most markets the place is flooded with models now, so unless you can find something niche you probably wont be selling much. Also you'll need to create the models yourself to avoid copyright claims etc.

ps. Remember not to print anything in the same room except PLA unless you want cancer.

Thank you for the information Mr 3D print man.

Ive heard mixed reviews about the slicer but I don’t see this as an issue with available alternatives.

From what I gathered this is a good starter and I only plan on printing smaller things anyways, nothing crazy complex so I think itll do just fine.

Out of curiosity, what printer do you have?

Thanks again.
