Suggestion Title: 5.56x45mm Suppressor for the M16A4
Suggestion Description: Since PERP has changed quite a bit since my last suggestion in 2022 to add a DMR option for the M16A4, I optionally suggested the inclusion of a suppressor https://perpheads.com/threads/5-56-dmr-with-scope-for-tfu.49882/
TFIC get suppressors + other weapons but I do realize that there are fewer of them. But, they are still a common occurrence in PERP.
This suggestion however is mainly focused for the licensed TFU units, not RTFO, to get a little upgrade for their arsenal.
The suppressor should only become available if you're in Heavy gear. Gearing down should remove it to a standard M16A4.
I'm aware that not many people already use the M16A4 in Heavy gear, but I'm the weird exception (as always) and usually run it with the sniper scope for a DMR setup.
A suppressor would be more viable compared to a flash suppressor as to additionally minimize your auditory presence.
As to why you should use a supressed M16A4 over a suppressed Remington M24 (if L115A3 is already taken) here are some reasons:
-More follow up shots on range.
-Remington M24 is bolt-action and does not guarantee one taps on chest.
-Faster reload.
-Can still be semi-used with point firing where as the M24 is a one shot musket if you ever have to somehow use it close range (at that point just use the pistol).
The M16A4 is already a very unpopular option in Heavy gear so I'm hoping this will at least give it some more reason to use it instead of the usual SCAR-L combo for TFU.
Why should this be added?:
-More variety and engagement options from afar.
-An actual usable weapon (IMO) with a suppressor if you should need one.
What negatives could this have?:
-Another PD buff.
-Changing one of the least usable/efficient weapons (not IMO) in their arsenal which would still make it just average.
-Not needed and the arsenal is good as is for standard licensed TFU.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: Give the M16A4 another reason to be used in Heavy gear apart from the sniper scope/DMR setup for more variety.
