What law do you wish to change/add:
8.5: Provision of Alcohol:
It is an Offense to provide Alcoholic beverages to anyone showing signs of significant intoxication or disorderly behaviour. Furthermore, Alcohol may not be sold from locations only lawfully accessible by a motor vehicle, Such as on the highway.
Misdemeanour: Liable to 2 year maximum imprisonment and $3000 maximum fine.
Why should this change/addition be made:
The law change is to add laws pertaining to the sale of Alcohol, Preventing abusive patrons from running amock and generally being a niusance towards the public whilst the Bar owner sits and goads the behaviour.
What is the aim of this change/addition:
- Adds realistic Criminal liability towards people who choose to sell Alcohol at public areas, such as in city market bars or bazaar and don't make any attempt at stopping people drinking to death or assaulting people with glass bottles.
- As such, Bar owners will feel more inclined to restrict access for said individuals and notify police that they've been trespassed.
- Realistic anti drink driving law preventing you from setting up a bar in a breakdown zone.
