Why Should This Player Be Punished: 2.5 Excessive Negativity- Generally speaking, players are not allowed to excessively negatively affect the experiences of other players while playing on the server. For example, destroying a number of valuable items in a store should only be done under certain circumstances, and more so as a last resort; specifically, reasons such as product prices, a ‘basic’ distaste towards someone within the store, grossly disproportionate methods to quell competition,etc, are not typically acceptable.


I went to the store then came back to my place at Glass Co. and someone was inside of it didn't get a good chance to look at his name or anything due to him shooting me down so quickly but I do believe this player should be punished this was unacceptable. I'd understand why he'd kill me if I were to try an pull a gun out on him or something but that wasn't the case I was using the physgun at the time and had my back turned to him. I don't want to say this is RDM due to the fact he was intruding my place but it pretty much was random deathmatch, he could have went about the situation in many different ways that didn't involve anyone dying. This incident happened about 9:00PM (CST) Central Standard Time.

In this situation, it would be rather helpful to know the user's intent on the situation brought to the table. It would also be of noteworthy concern if you were growing any narcotics or had anything of value on your property at the given time, as well as a weapon on your person. If you had a weapon on your person, then it would be acceptable for him to discharge onto you as you would pose a direct threat to him if he intended to raid you. Please keep in mind I have yet to view your demo so I'm unsure of how the situation unfolded exactly.

It's not Dai John, it was Matt douglass sorry it was a miscommunication on my part. Since matt douglass is banned on the fourms I doubt he will be here to tell his point of view. But I will be posting on behalf of him as I'm his friend. @Bertie was with him in the raid and I was outside. What I gathered went down was that Matt and Bertie bobbied into your base while you left and when you came back I herd matt say get on the ground then 3 seconds later he shot you. After you died he told me to get your gun but you disconnected I will shortly be posting a ar about this. I'll get matt to message me his point of view and post it later.

Although I wasn't the one to kill you, I was inside your base after you were killed, and I remember you disconnected straight after you were killed, you also didn't ask in ooc if you were able to leave.

Any back story to this? he could have had an alternate motive for wanting to kill you, previous mugging etc.

In all fairness, sometimes people do act in the heat of the moment without thinking things through; I understand he could of dealt with the situation differently however I can understand that at first thought if he didn't expect you to be coming back he could of panicked and shot you which is realistic and not 2.5 imo

However it all depends on how long he had to think, I haven't been able to view the demo yet so I wouldnt know. But you always got to try and think of things from their POV, and sometimes give them the benefit of the doubt that they may of just panicked.

On behalf of Matt as he is forum banned: I was raiding you guys for fun and to get items originally and didn't realise you lived there, but that was a bonus, as prior you mugged me near Bazaar, I believe, I have names off and you match the description of the player that mugged me, so most likely it was you, so when I saw it was you I was raiding, I took the liberty of getting revenge, from the mugging that is. I do not know if you died since then but I don't believe I did.

There were two of you and you were visibly armed. With Matt being alone in that room one of you could of slipped away and shot him. He saw that you were visibly armed, and he therefore decided to shoot you to lower the risk of getting shot himself.
