First off, 3.18 specifies immediate danger. I wasn't in any immediate danger like at gunpoint or so.
Second, 5.1 specifies that we're not supposed to drop stuff like crafting items, which is what I had, during a mugging.

You are right about 5.1 HOWEVER you can't store items while your life is in danger, as you litterly said you stored the items we could have shot you.
