Why should this appeal be considered?: Hello, although my ban was quite recent; the actions that led up to it have been over a period of time so I’ve had time to think. I had just come back from a long break on perp and when I was originally here I was under the assumption that stuff you had said to other members in org was okay unless nobody got upset; However, I’ve realised that isn’t the case. The words I used to speak to other org members or refer to them was not fair and disgusting. Although no harm was meant by anything I said, the slurs are still hurtful to others and shouldn’t be used even in a jokingly light hearted way as it normalizes them to be used in more serious situations which isn’t fair. Perp is an inclusive community and everyone should be treated the same and with respect and I completely didn’t fall into line with that by my use of that language and I understand that now. I’ve taken the last few days to apologise directly to everyone in the org over discord if I had insulted or upset anyone by the language I used to make sure the situation is dealt with properly. I’d like to come back to perp to contribute more to the community and show that the phrases and slurs I used in org chat isn’t who I am truly and that I used them in a ‘joking’ manner at the time and not directly out of hate for any LGBTQ+ members. Obviously I now know that it was wrong even in that sense and I would never do it again. I’m hoping to rebuild bridges with me and others who may have been offended by my stupidly. Lastly, id like to apologise to Exrobite for wasting their time and attention on dealing with my hurtful and disrespectful language by having to enforce a ban and deal with the rest of it. I am very sorry.
Additional Information: Those who I directly used these slurs to refer to them have been reached out to personally and apologised to; although they didn’t take offence to it according to them, it makes it far from okay. Thanks for having time to read and consider.
