Why were you punished?: I was banned because my Steam account was linked to another player who had been banned. My friend and I had the same Steam account logged into both of our PCs, so when he was banned, my account was also flagged and banned.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I would like to respectfully appeal my server ban because I believe my account was flagged due to a shared Steam account situation rather than any actions I personally took. My friend and I had the same Steam account logged in on both of our PCs. He was banned from the server, and because the account was shared, the ban was also applied to me automatically.
I want to make it clear that I did not participate in the incident that led to his punishment and I did not break any server rules myself. At the time, I did not realize that having the same Steam account on two different PCs could cause both users to be linked in this way. I accepted the consequences because I understood that the system had flagged the account, even though I had not done anything wrong.
My friend has now been unbanned, which is why I am asking if my account can also be reviewed and unbanned. Since the original punishment has been lifted for the person who actually received it, I hope my account can be reconsidered as well. I understand that sharing accounts can create confusion for staff, and I take responsibility for not being aware of that risk. Going forward, I will make sure to use my own account separately to avoid any similar issues in the future.
