Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Daan
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 2 Days

Your Steam Name: Dahweeble
Your Roleplay Name: Leonardo Snow
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:441719778

Why were you punished?: 2.5 - The player in a counter-raid wallbanged an unarmed individual, he hadn't seen any weapons yet and was not wallbanged himself. He was also informed of a possible hostage so he knew there was a possibility of an unarmed individual being present. In the report discussed with me about always being allowed to wallbang whenever, with 71 days playtime I believe he should know better.

Why should this appeal be considered?: This is taken very out of context "In the report discussed with me about always being allowed to wallbang whenever, with 71 days playtime I believe he should know better.".

I was talking about how I could wallbang without regards to unarmed people in certain cases, such as when they have shot at us, OR if you know they're armed.
HOWEVER, you should not be attempting to shoot unarmed people on purpose of course. In this case I'd say it's justified as I knew a raider was there and I didn't wanna risk my life to save some random, as it's not my responsibility to deal with hostage situations. Which in my opinion, makes total sense.

We heard them crowbarring so we knew raiders were inside. You must be armed to raid, unless you're breaking 3.4. So it was obvious they were armed, I was also not a cop, and I knew where the guy who said he has a hostage was. So of course I'm gonna shoot a guy who claims he has a hostage. I did also not ACTUALLY think he had a hostage as I didn't even think you could fit 2 people there without being seen and in most cases that's just used to kill cops.

They claimed they had a hostage. How are you gonna take a hostage without a form of weapon?

I also think a ban here is weird, considering I've never been warned for 2.5 and I'm usually extremely careful not to shoot unarmed people when raiding. It was just in this case I shot where I knew a raider was, which is fair in my eyes.

In the report he didn't seem too objective, and it seemed more like the staff member was acting with how he felt instead by the way he was typing, that is just how perceived it.

Is it really expected that we risk our own lives to save a hostage when we're raiders ourselves and I was certain a raider was there?

I also disagree with the logic where he claims someone should be punished harder because of their playtime. Let's say he's right, which I still think he's not... Why should someone be punished harder for ignorance? I've gone 71 days without getting a ban, odd to assume I'm breaking rules on purpose? Which I think makes my claims that his feelings were too much involved stronger. I have actually not been in a similar situation that I can remember during my playtime.

-Kind regards,
Dahweeble/Leonardo Snow

Additional Information: My birthday is the 19th of June, and I don't wanna be banned on my birthday <3 :)
