Why were you punished?: 1.2, 3.4 - Whilst defending from police, player ran at police officers with a grenade and made an islamophobic comment before blowing himself up.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I dont disagree with the 1.2 (altough it was not meant with ill intent and i apologize for that) but i disagree with the 3.4
First some context.
I was raiding slums with 2 other people, one from my org on ts and one who wasnt on ts. We held a hostage in slums 1 (or 2 i dont remember) and my friend walked out the door at some point and gunned some cops down, so now we were in a shootout. My friend on ts eventually gets shot, but i still think my other friend was alive(he wasnt) and i pull out a grenade to blow up some of the cops who i thought was outisde and i thought the cops were far outside and just shooting inside the apartment, but they were pushing in. So i have the grenade in my hand and about to cook it and throw it in the doorway but a shotgun cop rushes me. he shoots at me but misses, and i see that there is atleast 2 more cops right behind him. In the heat of the moment i think in my head that at this point im gonna die in like 1 second, and i honestly dont know what i should have done either than maybe yell "i surrender", but in the middle of a shootout like that my past experience telle me that you cant really surrender like that. and i would almost 100% certainly get shot, and he already fired a shot at me, so the ones behind him would probably also have started shooting, so i run towards them to get as many as them with me as possible.
I want to clarify that it was not my intention from the start to just kill myself and take them with me, but something i decided to do in the heat of the moment while i was about to die and i dont see anything wrong with that. Also all of my friends and people in ooc keeps saying that you are allowed to do that
It also doesnt make any sense that i risked my life more, since if i had tried to surrender, i would VERY LIKELY been shot, and blown up by my own grenade afterwards, so either scenarion kills me, but atleast i got to kill some cops.
I would also like to add that this kinda enforcment of rules is the exact thing that kills roleplay and limits everything that you do cus i would have had to stop and think "ummmmm am i breaking 3.4 by not letting the cops shoot me" and not just going by logic that you would use. I mean dont tell me that all of you would have surrendered in that situation
